Introducing my Hometown: Kirchheim

After having made already several posts about Würzburg (the closest bigger city to my actual hometown), I will show you today some impressions of Kirchheim.

This is where I live and it is quite the opposite of Würzburg, where you can find a vibrant nightlife, amazing culture events, great history, bars and gastronomy worthy of talking about. Where I live, only about 15 min by car away from this city, there is calm, tranquility, nature and more or less the environments to reach out for if you want to relax and having a taste of nature. I love it (most of the time)

This is one of my favourite houses in Kirchheim, one of many here, completely made out of stone. The reason for so many Stone houses are several nearby stone querries.

After a short walk through some corn and wheat fields you reach these querries.

But you can't hear much (near nothing) of all that heavy working. Mooving on, you pass almost untouched nature:

and it's a joy to ban these impessions with my new camera into bits and bites:

on that last one, it's even possible to spot the bumblebee, although shot at a distance of about 5 meters.
I really LOVE that new Lumix G70 wich helped me make all those photographies. THX Steemit!

Follow :) beautiful

Thank you for posting @pollux-one.

Lovely photographs and commentary....such a beautiful and tranquil area.

Will have to give that camera a look.

Appreciate the English version. ^_^

All the best to you and your family. Cheers.

:) beautiful house!

Your new camera does some amazing pictures. This look great :D

Thx, loving it, too!

I don't know why but i guess i have a soft spot for macro photos! I love the details on that "thorned" flower.

And i would love to own such a nice stone house. Every time i have a chance to live for a couple of days in such a house. I can't believe the "climate" those walls are producing. I remember my summer vacation when it was 25°C in a stone house without the AC and the outside temperature was way over 30°C.

Yeah, I love this "thorned flower", too. Actually it's the fruit of the scottish thistle. Here is a pic, while it's blooming:

And yep, these houses are amazing. Most are more than a hundred years old.

Love the old stone houses architecture. If they have a farm attached to them than even more. Nice pictures with the new camera ;)

I think being close to nature has a great attribute to our life. It helps us appreciate the small things like the fresh air, the peaceful environment, the simple style of living and most especially the genuine interaction you have with the people living in that area. Great photography skills man. I love houses made of stones. :-D

Thx! The best thing about it is, that my kids can spend their time outside, exploring the world. They know how to climb trees, they know how to mud themselves, they know what animals are (and what they are for). They are helping out on a farm to get riding hours as reward. All this wouldn't be possible in a Big City and those growing up in the City just loose that important part of life!

I like how you let your kids explore the world and get dirty, that way they learn about the nature compared to some kids in my neighborhood where all they hold is ipad and play stupid games. Like your kids, I was raised to get my hands dirty by planting plants and trees in my grandma's garden in the province. And I will not trade that to anything like Ipad. :-)

true... much too high a price for an iPad

Flower shots are excellent###!!!!
