A quite new member ( @redtravels )of the "deutsch" chat came up with an idea and asked me about my thoughts. I think his idea is brilliant. With his permission, I reintroduce his idea of using the hashtag introduceyourhometown. He used it once so far here. This way we could produce as a community sort of a travle guide through the whole world. Feel invited to join in!
@redtravels, ein recht neuer deutscher Steemianer kam neulich mit einer klasse Idee auf mich zu und fragte mich nach meiner Meinung dazu. Wie gesagt finde ich die Idee klasse und mit seiner Erlaubnis mache ich hier weiter auf diese Hashtag-Idee aufmerksam. Er selbst hat es hier zum ersten Mal probiert. Wir könnten so auf kommunity-basis eine Art weltweiten Reiseführer durch unsere Städte erstellen. Fühlt euch also eingeladen, alle mitzumachen!

| Actually this is not quite true, for I was born in a smaller town near to Wuerzburg, but I always say that Wuerzburg is in fact my hometown, because it is quite well known and I FEEL at home here. I reach Wuerzburg by train in 15 min and by car (including finding a parking) in 20 min. I love this town, for it's old and new, it's modern, but close to nature. It's a conservative catholic town, but also progressive for the numerous students visiting one of the oldest european Universities (founded 1402). Wuerzburg is the sixth largest city of Bavaria (with about 130 000 inhabitants), although no citizen would see himself as "Bavarian", but as "Lower Franconian". So welcome to my hometown and please follow me for a little tour! | Eigentlich ist das nicht ganz richtig, da ich in einem kleineren Ort in der Nähe von Würzburg geboren und aufgewachsen bin, aber ich gebe immer Würzburg als meine Heimatstadt an, weil es zum einen bekannter ist, zum anderen fühle ich mich als Würzburger. Ich erreiche Würzburg mit der Bahn in knapp 15 Minuten und mit dem Auto brauche ich knapp 20 Minuten (inklusive aufwändiger Parkplatzsuche). Ich liebe diese Stadt. Sie ist alt und neu, modern aber naturnah. Sie ist konservativ aber auch fortschrittlich, vor allem durch die große Anzahl von Studenten, die eine der ältesten europäischen Universitäten hier besuchen (gegründet 1402). Würzburg ist mit knapp 130 000 Einwohnern die sechstgrößte Stadt in Bayern, obwohl kein einziger der Würzburger sich selber als Bayern beschreiben würde, sondern als Unterfranke! From here you come to the marketplace, here you get fresh vegetables and fruits as well as other good food, including a "Franconian bratwurst". For lunchtime, you'll have to wait up to an hour to get one!
Von hier aus kommt man zum Markt. Hier bekommt man frisches und gutes Obst und Gemüse, sowie anderes Essen, wie zum Beispiel die original fränkische Bratwurst. Zur Mittagszeit muss man bis zu einer Stunde dafür anstehen.

One last insider knowledge: This guy is called the "Wuerzburg Wanker" by some. In fact he some Saint, of which I have forgotten the name. He is about to draw his sword... but from a certain angle...
Ein bisschen Insiderwissen zum Schluss: Dieser nette Herr wird von manchen der "Würzburger Wixer" genannt. Tatsächlich ist es ein Heiliger, dessen Name ich vergessen habe. Er ist gerade dabei sein Schwert zu ziehen... aber von einem bestimmten Winkel aus...

Hallo, schön, dass Du hier bist. Man KANN sich selber upvoten aber wie auf FB ist das schlechter Stil und wird nicht gerne gesehen. Bei Artikeln geht das meist klar (wenn du nicht gerade ne Mio SP delegiert bekommen hast) bei Kommentaren ist es einfach kacke und es kann dazu führen dass du geflagged wirst (= Verlust von Reputation und meist allen Erträgen aus dem Kommentar).

Bei mir wird's keine Stadt. Es ist ein Dorf mit unter 400 Einwohnern. Muss also mehr auf die Dorfgeschichte eingehen wohl. Und deren Charaktere vielleicht.

@pollux.one that's a Marvelous idea. It would have great if the tag was just introduceyourtown. You know lot many people relocate from their hometown for education, job, business and many more resume and hometown becomes a distant faded memory. Instead if it was introduceyourtown it would cover hometown for people who are still living there or for people like me who have relocated. Just a thought that crossed my mind 😊
