Everyday I´m hustling´! Hi, I am a Internet Entrepreneur since 2014 and I would like to share some knowledge in here...

Hi my name is Rene, I am 38 years old, omg I feel old sigh, from Hamburg, Germany. My English is not the best, but I will try hard to give you a quick overview about me, my life and what I would like to share on Steemit in the near future.

I used to work as a Croupier (Dealer) in a Casino but quit my job almost two years ago, because I could not stand it anymore. I was earning a decent monthly income, but the last year of my working life, all I did was sleeping, eating and working…not forget to mention smoking 40 cigarettes a night!

Me as fat Croupier…

When you do your job, while others sleep and sleep while others work, you get lonely. My friends didn´t even called me to ask me, if I would like to hang out with them, because I had to say „no“ in 95% of the time just because of my job.

I really felt into depression and went to a shrink, who told me that he could prescribe me some drugs which would help to work for another half year or I he would help me to quit my job now. I decided to make a change, even though I had no clue what was coming next. I am not that dumb but to be honest, I am not graduated in any way.

But I was smart enough to make some money on the internet and I would like to give back to community here by sharing some of my „secrets“ in my future blog posts…

In 2014 I stumbled upon an email list building course from Russell Brunson, who is one of the most successful internet entrepreneurs today and I was totally stunned by the idea of making money without leaving the house.

Ok, I weighed about 220 pounds these days, maybe the idea of staying in bed and making money was even more fascinating because of that fact.

So I tried a couple of methods and like many other who try to earn some bucks on the internet, I wanted to work smart not hard. Yeah, you got me…I was looking for that „get-rich-quick-and-do-nothing“-pill everyone would love to have.

I bought ebook after ebook, course after course and I made some money very quickly. After I totally messed things up with the list building…don´t ask….I tried to make money with selling clickbank products (info products) with Facebook ads.

But to be honest I had no clue what I was doing exactly especially when it came to the Facebook ads and…big surprise…my account got banned.

I tried a couple of other things like blogging, niche sites, SEO, you name it, I tried it and then I discovered the beauty of YouTube and how easy it was to rank a video on YouTube for a specific keyword.

I tested and tweaked and from one day to another I was making affiliate commissions from simple screen recordings that I made from my new home office. On my best day I made over $500 from one video!

Here is a picture of me after my gall bladder surgery. I made decent money while three surgeons where cutting four holes in my chubby belly.

As you can imagine I was totally pumped and started to record more videos to make even more money, but after a while a weird thing happened…

I became lazy.

I made so much money literally without lifting a finger and I was able to set it on autopilot, so that I created a nice monthly income just from my videos.

But I was still naive and sluggish and stopped working on my business, on my blog, the course I wanted to create for others… Videos lost rank and my income decreased.

But when I look back I don´t regret anything. I learned from my mistakes in the past and I always took action. Sometimes I was too eager, sometimes to lazy but I made experiences that will lead me to more success in the near future.
I lost over 40 pounds in the last half year, quit smoking and found a beautiful girlfriend. At the moment I am working on other projects and I want to build a sustainable business for me, my girlfriend and my family. Everyday I´m hustlin´… ;)

I like the idea of Seemit and I will share some of my methods in here and give some tips about what to do and what not to do, if you are dreaming the dream of a „laptoplifestyle“ too.

Feel free to ask me anything.

Regards

Rene

Hey faddat! Thanks a lot for your kind words. Really appreciate it. This means a lot to me.

Most of us here dream about your path - before you got lazy. Lazy is where we are at this moment ;)

Can you tell us what was the Youtube channel about? What were the videos you produced like?

Thanks for you questions!
I had/have several channels in different niches. From internet marketing product reviews, over prepper stuff, paleo diet to gaming videos.
I had screen capture videos, videos with my chubby face in it, sales videos that I was allowed to use, whiteboard videos. I tested a lot.
When it comes to making sales by putting an affiliate under a related video, you have to go for the big commissions, that what I have learned in the past. Take a look what kind of affiliate programs pay the most for a lead and make a related video.
The best videos are those, where people see, that you are a real person. All those fancy animated videos and stuff does not convert that well. I will make a post about how to rank videos in the near future. I planned to sell this a course, but atm I have not time to set up the whole sales funnel. So I will put it up here. :)
Hope my comment helps so far.

Glad to meet you, Rene! I'd try out my ONE phrase of German that I remember from college, but my kids have made me promise never to say it again. Oh well. Looking forward to more posts from you.
