How I got here

Namaste everyone. My name is Shon.
Like many people, I love comedy, especially the professional kind. I watch late night talk show videos on the internet because the writing is impeccable.Since these shows are American, the recurring theme of the shows for the last year/s has been the election or political and it got me interested in knowing more about american politics. Although I was familiar with it, I had't looked into it much.Also, I din't have any knowledge at all, on the American history. So I started reading/watching past political figures, ideologies and incidents etc some.
On watching the recent politicians, among others, one who got my attention most was, one Dr Ron Paul. He was able to communicate in simple terms what he stood for and all his comments, policies and decisions were based on those. In this case, it was Liberty. So I started watching and reading more about him and one of the things that he mostly talked about was the monetary policy. He was talking about Austrian and Keynesian economics and asset based currencies and gold etc. So I had to understand and learn some about those.
Although I develop software for a living, I had never looked into what this "Digital Gold" that everyone was talking about.
Learning and reading about economy and eventually about bitcoin and block chain got me into digital currencies. To be honest, I came across steem tokens some times back but only now did I look into what it is and the purpose of it. I was delighted when I knew more about steemit. I Hope that my words here would be of some meaning to somebody.
