My introductory post

Would you like to read about my journey here on steemit?

My name is Salami Oluwafemi Excel. Down in my country and online platforms, I am popularly called "Master Excel". My steemit account name is @oluwafemisalami

I come from a country where lots of systems are not working to improve the basic social amenities of its citizens. Every single day, we hear about how some huge sum have been stolen or mismanaged by an individual or group, how someone or a group of persons have been kidnapped, raped and tortured. These happenings consistently lead to the increase of unemployment which is largely populated by the youths.

Hopes of young graduates and brilliant minds are even sometimes shattered. Dreams are crashed!

And beyond this also we find our kind called all names in the international space because obviously some of the youths have picked to crime rates to survive and the several good peoples image dented because of the records of a few.

There are many of us however, who like myself, believe that one shouldn't be judged by race, or where he comes from because actually these are choices he/she didn't have the power over. The choice of birth (who your parents are and where to be born) are choices only the supernatural can determine. Even if one fly's from his origin to another shores to be born, history will still have to trace his roots.

So yes, I am from Nigeria, the western part of Africa and I am proud of it.

Nigeria among many other things is rich and diverse in culture. We're blessed with natural resources in various kinds, such as minerals, forest resources, water resources, arable lands and not to mention, able inspiring, talented, and creative work force.

The story of Nigeria will be for another day. I have shared the above to show that I love my country inspite of everything else. I believe that we will some day get it right.

Moving on...

So how did I come to hear about steemit and how much do I know so far?

I was introduced to steemit by @akiripromise and it took me several days of research to at least get a clue, what it is the system is about.

Basically I have found that steemit will give me a platform to express myself in all I am interested in and on my passion and to know that the possibility of getting some rewards doing this is even more comforting.

However, in the coming days I do want to, learn, share and connect with great minds here. People within my niche, my interest and life generally. As you would see shortly, I have more interest connecting with people more than anything else.

During the course of my research, I found the following persons videos on YouTube helpful. I saw videos from @jerrybanfield, @georgedonnelly and @danstarlite. Thanks for helping me find my paths here.

I have also followed on a few persons in my niche and have found the following persons works here useful. I have read through posts of @abiye, @preetyjules158, and @looking. Thanks for the time and passion you put into agriculture.

So here is a little more about me...

In my 27years here on earth, I have had a mix of the good and bad. This is good because it has helped me live better, be better and help a lot of others too.

One of the areas I have tried to impact my society is in agriculture/Agribusiness. I have so much passion in this niche. So much that it has driven me into establishing a 700 broiler bird capacity farm, help and assist several others get into Agribusiness/Agriculture.

Through collaborative efforts i have organized and hosted both live and online events geared towards promoting, empowering and establishing people in this industry.

In the coming days, I hope to share my knowledge and experience of almost 4 years in Agribusiness/agriculture.

Also, I am diverse and have keen interest in politics, Business (generally), leadership, culture and more. I will be sharing my thoughts on any of these as long as it will benefit the community.

My goal here is to share valuable contents, learn and connect with great minds while making money too (that's important too right?). In this light I shall also be sharing my experience with my online community and bringing many here too. Light shouldn't be hidden you know?
