In a few words: my name is Giada, I come from Italy, and I love life.
I am always looking to provide answers to a simple question: who I am?.
I don't like to say "I'm a student", "a singer" ,"an actress" , "a graphic designer" , "a cook" , and so on. I like to think that I can be all of these things together .
Today I want to start with what I study.
I study psychology and I'm at the last year of specialization in clinical psychology. When I was at the high school I really didn't know who I want to be in life, like everybody i've changed my mind a lot of time "I want to be a teacher" and then "a veterinary" or "a princess!", but suddenly something changed. For a period of my life I've felt unconfortable with my body. I was overweight, I reached obesity at age of 14 and after many episodes of bullying my head decided to give me bad suggestions. In short I suffered of eating disorders and I decided to help the people with this problem, but with the years of study I've seen that there are a lot of things that I can do to prevent the suffering of people.
In Italy we say " prevention is better than cure ", and I firmly believe it, so I'm directing my interests towards new approaches, focusing on the concept of well-being, especially in school that is the place where children and adolescents spend most of their time. I also consider very important the family environment, where we established the fouindamental bounds and where we learn behavioral models.
This is just the first of a lot o things that I want to say and share with the world.
So... stay tuned for updates!
