Presentándome a la comunidad / Introducing myself to the community (Esp/Eng)

Saludos. Esta publicación personal y obligatoria, la fundacional en esta plataforma, tiene el objetivo explícito de presentarme ante todos y sentar algunas bases para futuros posteos.

Por eso considero que la mejor manera de hacerlo será siempre el comenzar justamente por el principio, así que iniciaré indicando que mi nombre asignado al nacer fue el de Javier Boraure, y que vi la luz por primera vez en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, estado Lara, en Venezuela.

Desde entonces, y hasta este mismo instante, he logrado sobrevivir como un organismo vivo hecho de órganos, cerebro, sangre y carne, siendo un ser biopsicosocial medianamente funcional en este planeta desordenado.

Para poder lograrlo he sido hijo, nieto, estudiante, un puberto tímido y calenturiento, un joven adulto desorientado, un trabajador desganado, un amante desequilibrado y desbordado, y un hombre directo con varios triunfos y fracasos a cuestas.

En este viaje además he sido transcriptor, músico, supervisor de comedores escolares, técnico de puntos de venta, promotor de mercadeo, profesor, fotógrafo, videasta, editor, técnico en audiovisuales, periodista, paseador de perros, traductor y agente de call center bilingüe.

En general, siempre sentí una curiosidad -explorada desde muy joven- con respecto a la escritura, lectura y literatura, así como con la música, y sobre todo con el cine, que me llevaron a procurar una relación con las artes y el conocimiento en general, para brindarle alguna porción de sentido y equilibrio a la vida post-moderna actual.

Con eso en mente, mi meta en esta plataforma será escribir sobre esos y otros temas generales a manera de desahogo con la intención de establecer un vínculo –aunque sea pequeño- con la gente que se reúne acá para compartir y algunas veces reflexionar sobre nosotros mismos y nuestro entorno.

Greetings. This personal and obligatory publication, the foundational one on this platform, has the explicit purpose of introducing myself to everyone and to lay some foundations for future posts.

That is why I consider that the best way to do it will always be to start right from the beginning, so I will begin by indicating that my name assigned at birth was Javier Boraure, and that I saw the light for the first time in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara State, in Venezuela.

Since then, and until this very moment, I have managed to survive as a living organism made of organs, brain, blood and flesh, being a moderately functional biopsychosocial being on this messed up planet.

In order to achieve this I have been a son, a grandson, a student, a shy and hot-headed pubescent, a disoriented young adult, a listless worker, an unbalanced and overwhelmed lover, and a straightforward man with several triumphs and failures in tow.

On this journey I have also been a transcriptionist, musician, school canteen supervisor, point-of-sale technician, marketing promoter, teacher, photographer, videographer, editor, audiovisual technician, journalist, dog walker, translator and bilingual call center agent.

In general, I always felt a curiosity -explored since I was very young- with respect to writing, reading and literature, as well as with music, and above all with cinema, which led me to seek a relationship with the arts and knowledge in general, to provide some portion of sense and balance to the current post-modern life.

With that in mind, my goal in this platform will be to write about those and other general topics as a way of venting with the intention of establishing a link -even a small one- with the people who gather here to share and sometimes reflect on ourselves and our environment.
