RE: A search for purpose.

Upvoted and followed. I can identify with your story somewhat. I was in the marines from 96-2000. I dealt with the same issues the whole 4 years. Luckily I was in the air wing and I completed my 4 years before 9-11 and didn't have to experience what so many of my friends did deploying to the middle east. It's a double edge sword to be so proud to make it through boot camp but to just not be able to identify with that mindset it takes to be a killer. I'm glad you were able to get out before you went down a path you may have never returned from. Great read.

Your words mean so much, especially since you are a veteran. I wasn't sure what kind of feedback I was going to get from the military community. So it makes my day to receive such positive feedback from you. THANK YOU my friend.

You are very welcome. I'm not sure all of the responses from veterans or active duty will be positive. However, there are still many great people that serve. I'm sure many struggle with the same issues. THANKS!

I agree, I am sure to receive a diverse array of perceptions. I will be sure to actively listen to them all. Yes, there are definitely many great people who serve. May they all live happy lives.
