My name is Derrice Pugh. Still Waterz, is my pen name, ~dp~ is my favorite digital signature. I am honored to be among such talented artists and intelligent minds. I am a firm believer in placing oneself around those you are most like; forsaking them for only those you may aspire to be like. It was the link of a poet I followed that led me to you. Who am I? In a description it is best if I said it like this:
I am a muse,
made in the image of
my Creator.
Words
are the toys
I play with.
These pages,
the medium
where I lay them.
Simply stated,
My place in the world...
no actual
location.
Resigned
to find
A state of mind
My destination.

I actually just penned that piece for the first time on this very thread. Sometime in the past 5 years I began awakening to the realization that words are a passion of mine. As I have found the courage to step outside of my previous belief systems, I've been met with more and more amazing people, places, and opportunities to advance in the world of words. I'm 41 years old, and the father of 6 wonderful children. I love music, nature, and mobile technology. (Writing a song out in nature sounds like a day in paradise to me!) I am engaged to a wonderful woman who I have known for longer than my oldest son. She truly is my rib in ways words can never accurately articulate. I hope as I share more and more of my art that every soul within this group can find some sort of appreciation within the lines. I believe that we walk this earth to strengthen one another. Only when we find courage to be who we are designed to be, can we actually be that strength to another. Be blessed. Thanks for having me!
