I always wonder that why are we fight each other and not accept the others view as their own, similar to our own. Later I have learned from one of the session on psychology at Stanford online materials that it is very difficult to study the human behavior as they may act differently from what they say. They talk against racism but perform racist actions.
The logic behind the fascinating behavior of human being can be
Priority: each person has his/her own priority according to the greed component in him. Greediness is part and parcel of human from birth, I think. Redirecting the greediness to productive things from childhood may be a good way to help the society.
Comfort zone: Everyone wants to remain in their comfort zone and it takes lots of effort to move out of the comfort zone. This comfort zone is also created from childhood. It may be in terms of race, caste, language, region etc.
Hence I feel that the proper education may be the best way to make a friendly world. The education should be such that the people should scientifically and logically think beyond the immediate barriers around you. That may be a philosophical state where every one able to see the other in his/her own shoes.
I am thinking, therefore I am: but the thinking should be beyond "if else" and "our comfort zone".
