Living in Constant Curiosity: An Introductory Post

I repressed a laugh when one of my colleagues at work called me a "social butterfly", upon learning that I come from a big family with six siblings. I only smiled and whispered,
"I wish that was the case."

Growing up, I was always surrounded by a lot of people. Most of them from my father's side who happen to also have at least five children in their family. We were all living in a compound in a small town which makes my cousins my childhood friends as well.

However, as a kid, despite having an overwhelming presence around me most of the time, I never really considered myself as someone who enjoys being outside and socializing with people.

At a young age, I always wondered how things work and why they exist. I guess it's the excitement of discovering the history or the nature of a thing which makes it very satisfying on my part. Luckily, in my generation, information can be easily acquired through the internet. Plus, I was also privileged to be exposed to literary works and other reading materials. From then on, I found myself exploring the world without necessarily having to go outside.

Now that I am an adult, my fascination to almost everything never stops. Although this time, my curiosity finally expanded to the literal outside world.

I still prefer to stay at home sometimes, however, over the years, I have also grown to take interest in beaches and coffee shops/restaurants both in our locality and nearby towns.

Looking forward also to meeting new people here who enjoy the same interests as mine. At least I'll get to portray a bit of the "social butterfly" assumption of my colleague. Haha

Kidding aside, here's to more pages to write here in my little book of life, and more things to uncover to satisfy the thirst of my own curiosity.
