Life became tough when my mother lost her job because all family responsibility was on her, however I encouraged her and we continued the journey of life. Things I do when I'm free or when I'm not working includes music, swimming and nature walks in the cool of the evening. I believe it gives me the opportunity to reflect and balance the things happening around me with my mind. I’m currently 18 years old, and I truly believe that everything I’ve lived through is what led me to choose my career. For years I thought my path was in music because I was part of a mariachi, an estudiantina, and different musical groups. Music has always been a big part of me, but I also knew I needed something with which I could truly build a professional and economic future. That’s why I decided to study Mechatronics Engineering. And on top of that, I’m currently part of a program where I teach STEM-related technology to middle-school girls, something I really enjoy because I can inspire them and show them that they can also excel in scientific and technological fields.
