HashNet is great for many reasons. Unlike data structure in most "traditional" blockchains, it enables a much faster propagation of the information through the network. It is not only based on DAG (like IOTA, which is pretty fast), but the consensus is established between the nodes via "gossip", just like in Hashgraph, which makes it very efficient. In addition, it adopts a "2 layer" network topology with sharding, enabling the whole network to process transactions very fast, no matter how many nodes are connected
