The next horizon will be deep integration of the physical and interactive worlds. The future of online is offline. - Cyriac Roedling (Entrepreneur from Silicon Valley)
If not us - the bloggers on blockchains - then who would be able to acknowledge that.
We're the very best examples of that future integration which is already taking place. We are the creators of the #internetofthings and the #internetofvalue.
The digital world is not a separated, isolated and closed circle anymore with insuperable barriers to entry and reserved for a privileged minority.
It's more and more becoming an essential part of our daily real life - of our all real lives.
Steemians are pioneers in that context.
We've been fortunate to be early adopers of a new scenario where the attention we pay to a certain digital offer is worth something and where we'll be rewarded in our everyday life for the the time we spend interacting virtually, for creating something sustainable.
We're the first ones in effectively building a bridge between what is considered real life and digital life.
@surfermarly building bridges between real and virtual world
Admitting the paradigm shift
As a blockchain surfer the new mindset is already part of our daily business and DNA.
Who of you even remembers the time before Steem? π
Without even noticing it, we automatically connect what is our old established way of thinking with the new technologies offered to streamline structures, processes and procedures.
For the first time ever the internet is capable of being much more than an isolated world.
Just imagine the following scenario (referring to the above copied picture):
- Marly decides on buying an ice cream a the beach bar.
- She scans a code on the ice cream's packaging with an app on her mobile phone.
- Automatically and within a few seconds a transfer from her crypto wallet to the beach bar's wallet is executed.
- Then Marly publishs a selfie with the ice cream via one of her Steem applications, leaving a positive feedback on the product and tagging the ice cream producer (here: Solero).
- Solero can now reward Marly with an icecream Token, other ice cream lovers can furthermore rate (reward) Marly's product evaluation.
Hence, the purchase is immediately refinanced through multiple channels, even adding value to both the Steem network and its players.
Also no third partie - such as a bank - is profiting from my deal with the beach bar and the ice cream producer.
Now that's been a quite simple example, but just think about a similar deal in the automotive industry or the real estate market, for instance, with eight-digit annual sales.
The internet of value is now added as second layer to real life scenarios, melting into one world.
Blockchain technology is the first internet technology that effectively empowers people and brings true value into our daily routine.
And that's actually the key: it's gonna become routine!
Cyriac Roedline was referring to such integrated models in his speech at the World Economic Forum when he said:
The offline world becomes an interactive experience, truly personalized. The future of online is actually offline.
Cyriac Roeding is a German-American entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley, who builds and invests in startups together with venture capitalists that drive change in the world at scale (Wikipedia).
And here's my promise: Any future blockchain based application that'll add true value to our daily routine, will take off.
It's not the technology as an isolated protocol that'll make the difference, it'll be its ability to build a bridge between real and virtual layers.
That's also why Steem based applications that are attached to an already existing - vivid - community of human beings provide so much value to crypto markets.
We're pioneers of a future that's already taking place.
Now in times of suffering crypto markets that prospect is actually a great sales proposition - don't you think?
So go out and sell it, steemians! If now us, then who?
Much love,
Marly -

I want so much that my country is updated much more in terms of crypto-monetary technology, I would love to buy an ice cream or pay for a service with a transfer of my crypto-monetary wallet. So I love when you can do it, because I'm closer.
I don't think we're too far away from using our favourite cryptocurrencies and their wallets as a payment system.
Alternatively - Buy beer in crowded bar using crypto. Barstaff hold up QR code to scan which when activated checks your age id, and takes a photo of you receiving beer. After 8 beers your friends are notified of potentially fun photo opportunity. GPS guides friends to where you are - on the beach, face down doing a starfish. Freshly tattooed "I β₯ Minnie Mouse" on right butt cheek. Friends get free crypto for uploading photos to "youaregonnaregretthis.com." :D
lol - I always knew that crypto has a lot of potential!! :-D

Thanks!

The legacy government funny money with its central banking manipulation and control will hopefully be as obsolete as 8-track cassettes before long as the market pursues innovations like crypto. We don't need to take up arms. We just need to choose alternatives and live our lives as freely as possible. We can break down the barriers of political borders with truly free markets.
Indeed buy low sell high. Crypto currencies are here to stay. Now is the time to buy and get in on the bottom floor. Thanks for sharing your good article.
The last person to take on centralized banking was Adolf Hitler. And look at what happened to him. they made sure no one would ever try and do that again. But with blockchain, they cannot target anyone individually. I love it!
Well everybody has their own way of looking at its benefits though...:-)
The banks and government cannot track our transactions , so it can take its fee in terms of tax . That is why it is afraid of cryptos. In India , banks are ordered not to deal with any entities dealing in cryptocurrencies and it is really making us very hard to convince vendors and investors to adopt them.
That's not only happening in India and clearly demonstrates that we need more educational efforts. Cryptocurrencies are not intended to negate the established systems but to offer better ones as an alternative. As long as we promote crypto being our chance to undermine any type of authority or existing law, we'll never get what we want. We need to cooperate and build partnerships, convince banks to join the crypto markets instead of trying to keep them out. That's at least my point of view...
You are right only education can solve this problem otherwise people often see cryptos as the method to get rich faster using ponzi schemes. Look at this news, trending all over the internet and coming from India where RBI has put a ban on cryptocurrency.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/police-arrest-alleged-india-head-of-now-defunct-bitconnect-scam
What are your thoughts about it and how the government should do to educate people? India is a large country and literacy rate is not good. That is why government thinks people fall prey to these schemes very easily.
I also think that the integration of on and offline is going to be the future of the tech, but for me it wonβt be making retail transactions with it. I have too much expectation of price appreciation for that. If someone can pull off a truly stable stablecoin though....

I would love an awareness program for many Africa countries
They really left behind in the world of crypto currency
It's almost useless back here
