Dear Hiver,
I'm Lily, a member of the Internet Society. I am passionate about all the incredible things the Internet brings to our lives.
I joined the Internet Society thanks to a friend. I believed in the power of technology to improve the world and felt motivated by the values of collaboration and trust. And when I did, it opened the door to a world of like-minded Internet advocates who can do anything they put their minds to when they come together. You.
I cannot wait to reconnect during Community Week.
Community Week is an annual event that offers Internet Society members an opportunity to celebrate the power of our collective achievements together and plan how we can best advocate for the most pressing issues facing the Internet.
This year, our mandate has never been more imperative. The open, globally-connected, secure, and trustworthy Internet is at risk from actions that could substantially weaken its resilience, richness, and capability. What we do today will change the future. How are we protecting it? What legacy are we creating?
I am delighted to be this year's Community Week host. I couldn't feel more honored to convene our expansive, global village on this critical matter.
Mark your calendars for 3-4 May, and please join the conversation.
