Most people struggle on Social Media to become successful. It doesn't have to be. When serving an audience, you need to know what they want and what their concerns are so you can deliver value to them.
Not knowing your audience WELL or having trouble finding out and your listening skills could be to blame for your lack of success.
Listening is actually a MAJOR element of success when it comes to social media, ESPECIALLY in business and serving.
There aren't many, but one way to know what your audience, your clients & customers want from you is to LISTEN to them, because they'll tell you what they want based on their interaction with your content. The analytics offer insights into your audience’s likes & dislikes.
How do I do that? You,
- Go to your analytics
- Then click on ‘Content Interactions’
- And click ‘Top Posts’
When you've done that, look at your content from the last 30 days to 3 months
And review by likes, comments, follows, web taps, shares, and saves.
After this you find out what type of content gets the most engagement. This is all! When you have found out, start doing more of that.
The other way which also works great is to STRAIGHT-UP ask them. When you do this they get the feel and impression that you care about what they value, so they'll be happy to answer.
This is how to Straight-up ask!
- Show up on IG stories and Do a poll series of your content, asking specifics to see what they prefer.
(Just ASK, it’s not difficult)
You can do this in a video on your stories or feed. But if on your stories, add a question box and if on your feed ask them to comment below!
