There was a saying "MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL".... Many people say that because rich people are considered as corrupt, tyrannic, and cancerous monstrosities of the society ready to eat up everything on their path! (to exaggerated i think... HAHAHA!!!)
Well, Marami sa ating mga Pinoy ang masaya na maging kontento sa ating pamumuhay. (Filipinos often have the belief that we should be content on what we have). We are programmed to this thinking. That rich people will burn down to hell!!!!! Because they are so much attached to earthly treasures and material things.
I would like to share a story from the bible.
There was once a young man who approached Jesus...... Let's name him Ramon
Confused and looking for answers Ramon asked "What will i do to have eternal life?"
Jesus said: "Follow the commandments, Thou shall not kill, Obey your father and mother...."
Upon saying those... the young man answered:
"I did all those sorts of things ever since i was a child"
Then the lord said: "Go ahead sell all your belongings, and give them to the poor.... and follow me"
WTF?!?!! (THIS IS MADNESS!!!!!)
Actually Ramon walked away.... sad....
You know why?
Because the Ramon is VERY RICH
So would that mean he has no access and free back stage pass to heaven?
Well we don't know the answer. Only God Knows.
Let me show you another story
There was once a rich man (another one). to avoid confusion, Let's name him Ruben
He owns tons of property farms (like farmville), ton of livestock, large country style mansions and villas so on and so forth. In short this man has everything (you name it! he has it!)
Because of this, his harvest oftentimes exceed the limits of his grain silo.
Then he asked himself, What will he do with all of this excess? Well he cannot just leave it outside
The thieves might have an advantage, it might be stolen
The harvest might be destroyed outside
And all sorts of things....
then Ka-Ching!!!! a light bulb appeared on his head "I know what to do" said Ruben..... I will destroy my current storage house and I will build a larger one to fit all those excess harvest"
"Aside from that i will no longer work because i have worked hard for these all of my life"
Ruben wants is a life of LUXURY
But the unthinkable happened.
God disgraced with Ruben, said "FOOL!, tonight i will take your life!"
NOW YOU ARE WONDERING, BOTH MEN ARE RICH BUT HAD DIFFERENT ENDINGS.
For Ruben, it's a horrible end ( imagine where he is now.... i'm sure he is not ok)
For the case of Ramon, if he followed Jesus teachings, it would be good
If he follows Ruben's path well at least Ruben will have a companion... AWTS!
Now you are thinking .... So what's the point?
Based on the stories above, it's not the MONEY that is evil. Money is just the tool. But the one who holds them is the one who either do the good or bad.
It's important the every blessing that we have, we gave it to others. Share the blessings my friend :)
Think of this "Would it be better if you have everything and have an open heart to share to others?"
