I didnt know what to write about so I just wrote sh*t: My story, wannabe poet, Stanley Kubrick, taking risks and finishing what you started so that you can find your life's purpose

in #inspiration8 years ago (edited)

First of all I'm Andrew, I quit my job recently and plan on travelling briefly soon. I made a few risks because I want to live a great life, the reason I pushed myself to write an article even if its bad is because I want to create stuff. I don't want to be a passive consumer, I want to do something with my life. I want to create things that make the world a brighter place.

To be honest with you, I'm not sure what I want my content to be about. But I have a lot of ideas! Thats the problem I've seen in myself. I have all these ideas all the time but I never do any of them. So for me just writing this article is a bit uncomfortable and to be quite honest it doesn't feel like its at "my level" (it could be better), but its a good start.

I've been inspired by Tai Lopez, Gary Vaynerchuk, Steve Jobs. They seemed to be able to have this clarity of what it is that anyone can do to find their lives purpose.

In a TedX talk that Tai Lopez did he said "everyone wants the good life, but not everyone gets it", for Steve Jobs he said to "follow your intuition".

My point is if you want the good life then you need to take a chance and believe in yourself and you can't get there without taking action.

I once had dreams of being a writer, a poet in fact I've had many dreams. I was inspired by writers, musicians, philosophers, directors, actors and so many people to do something amazing. I love art, I especially love Stanley Kubrick movies, its a weird obsession of mine. The reason I fell in love with the man and his films was because he was an artist, a man that did whatever the f*ck he wanted to do, his movies weren't like all the other movies that were out. They were kind of quirky, sometimes strange, sometimes larger than life, mysterious. But most of all they were different.

I wish I could start out being as talented as Stanley Kubrick but I can't, you got to work your way up. I think that the only way to start doing whatever it is that you want to do in life is to start somewhere and accept the fact that no matter where you start unless you're already hugely talented, what you create is most likely going to be terrible.

I think that the main purpose of this website is to share value. I want to be able to entertain, inspire, educate, document or just jot down my random thoughts that I'm having at that moment of time. Somedays I might even write about my journey and hopefully I'll even inspire people to do great things in their lives.

Follow me if you agree with what I wrote and that if you want to do great things and if you want to get great content, because I won't stop until I've found my spark :) Comment, like, share etc.
