RE: Understanding the Mind (2)

in #inspiration7 years ago

I learned a useful technique from a meditation app that goes like this: whenever you have a thought, be it negative or positive, label it as it is: a thought. The same goes for feelings, be it positive or negative, label it as just that: a feeling. This technique is called "noting" and though it may sound simple, it's actually pretty hard to do. What this does, I think, is to ease the tension that arises when we restrict certain thoughts from coming in to our heads. Meditation helped me reframe the way I interpret thoughts. I've heard a lot of people benefit from it too.

Everytime, negative thoughts knocks in meditation works best for me @thegaillery. I'll give "noting" a try. Thank you

It makes the burden lighter but I am still learning. thank you @thegaillery. I'll surely download this app.
