TEXT : Matt 24 vs 45 -51.
For a while, i have read and heard some unscriptural soundbites even from ministers and i always choose to be quiet and ignore but i'm touched when i see young ministers inheriting and marketing them without proving it themselves to be true. So i always ask where is the spirit of discernment?
One major trending soundbite is "getting results", it is so dominant among young pastors and based on my observation, if you gather 10 ministers in their 20s and 30s, ATLEAST 5 among them don't have a clear mission statement, what you mostly hear is unscripturally inherited soundbites.
You will hear things like "i want to hold the largest church meetings in the world", "I want to be the most influential pastor" and many others i cannot remember.
BACK TO THE SCRIPTURES
"God has never called anybody to get result, He only calls them to be faithful, results are just God given generic products of faithfulness as God pleases" - 1 Cor 3 vs 6.
HOW?
God did not call paul to give mantle, but the mantle came as a God given generic byproduct of faithfully doing his job - Acts 9 ( Acts 19 vs 11).
God did not call Peter to heal the sick with His shadow, It was just a God given generic byproduct of faithfully doing his job.
In the liberation mandate of LFC, covenant university and private jet is not there, they are just God given by products of a faithful visioneer.
In the mission statement of RCCG, big auditorium, redeeemers university is NOT THERE, they are just MERE byproducts of a faithful visioneer.
Why is it mere?
It is mere by products bcos the main products are millions of saints reaped into eternal life, every other thing will be wasted at rapture, only the main products will remain.
LOOK AT THIS AGAIN
Bishop Oyedepo has been preaching the same thing since 1981 not bcos there is no other thing to say....it is called FAITHFULNESS.
Pastor Kumuyi is still saying the same thing not bcos he doesn't bliv in prosperity and other things....FAITHFULNESS.
Till tomorrow Pst Daniel Olukoya is still saying fire not bcos He did not read mercy or prosperity in his own bible......FAITHFULNESS.
The list is endless
"God has never called anybody to get result, just be faithful to what he committed to you".
LET ME SHOCK YOU
"The great Pastor Adeboye will get the same remark as a FAITHFUL deacon in a local parish of RCCG"
WHY?
The man that was given two, brought two and got the same remark with the man that brought five bcos both of them were FAITHFUL with what was given to them and our God is no respecter of persons - Matt 25 vs 14 - 30 (Acts 10 vs 34).
"Many have put themselves under the pressure to perform and get results of five when God gave them two, in an attempt to maintain ego, they started compromising the truth".
"God is NEVER going to judge you by the result of another person, He knows what He placed in your hands...JUST BE FAITHFUL AND DILLIGENT - Matt 24 vs 45 -51.
It is not the effort of Paul and Apollo that gave increase, God did but the most important thing is that they were doing the required.
Let me break them in a guy man level, Paul will be like "Lets just be doing what he asked us to do, He will do his own when he pleases".
"Stay away from anybody that is asking you for result, you only need faithfulness bcos ONLY God gives result"
Capacity differs, that is why He gave them according to their ability (Matt 25 vs 15).
If God has given you two but you are trying to inherit or copy a result of ten - SUICIDE MISSION.
If God permits me by 10 - 15 yrs frm now, i hope to have increased in knowledge of the truth so i can attend the bible school not bcos i want to be a Pastor but bcos i want to have a student experience of what is been taught there, identify the obvious gaps to see where i can volunteer in teachings - IF GOD PERMITS.
The truth is been compromised daily for Human reasons.
FAITHFULNESS - Continously and dilligently doing as expected and instructed...FINISH!
Suddenly large auditorium, private jet, suv has become a yardstick to measure faithfulness in ministry - Highly unfortunate!
God has reasons for doing things His own way, does the mean those that didn't acquire materials were unfaithful?...NO
