By reading we have more knowledge.Knowledge without applying what we learn is useless. In life to succeed we have to work hard to get the desired results.

What inspired this post:

• The verse 'Faith without works is dead' from the book of James(2.26) has always inspired me. Me myself am not a pro at applying what I learn like everyone else. For most people it seems the deadly spirit of procrastination which is then followed by a stagnant life is common. We all need to achieve something but few achieve it. Even when Jesus was about to go his followers still wanted to worship with him in their hearts but their bodies were lazy to take the prayers with Jesus.

• In Matthew 26:41 we here that the 'spirit is willing but the body is weak' showing that the spirit of laziness is common in most people although they have big plans. I think through discipline we can solve many of our laziness problems.

Definition:

The quote means that there is need to take the action to achieve something you want rather than keeping on thinking(daydreaming) yourself doing it successfully. I have seen that many of us people are not proactive to achieve what we want. At times we might have the theoretical knowledge but do not even take the action to build our dreams. As Epictetus used to say If you wish to write then write so we need to take some action to get where we want. Here are some few tips from me:

1 . Believing in your mind to be rich without taking the action is nothing

Inner inspiration is good but you have to take the action. Most people want to be rich but few ever become rich which explains the 90-10 rule which says that 90% of he wealth in this world is owned by the 10% rich. I don’t know if its true but if it is like that then that means 90% of the poor(and maybe middle class) own only 10% of the wealth here.I don’t remember where I heard the quote that says something like ‘If you want to be rich but you are not rich today then you do not have a real reason to be rich’. Find a meaningful reason to have the money and start working to have it.

2 . Expecting positive change without taking the action

If you wish your garden to be beautiful then you have to work hard to clear the weeds. If you wish to be a great public speaker then you have to start practicing now. Don’t just imagine yourself with people listening to you but also practice public speaking whenever you get an opportunity. If you work hard to get your goals you will end up living the life of your dreams.

3 . Spoken words without taking action are a waste of time

Most people do not like those who brag. Those who brag in most cases talk of fantasies that never come to life. Speak not from the ego but from your mature self so that you can achieve what you say. Most people who became rich in history had to share their visions with those around them. They also moved a step forward by taking the necessary steps to achieve greatness.In other words don't just talk for the sake of impressing others but tell others your goals and take action immediately. The spoken word is powerful but taking the action is more magical.

4 . Having the mindset of a philanthropist but never was one in reality

Some people think of themselves as humanitarians who assist others but have never done so. There is no need to preach about your philanthropic work in-order to get people to like you.We all know that givers are big-time receivers so make-sure that you do not lie to yourself that you are a giver whilst you do not give. Let philanthropy be part of your deeds if you are generous. Doing so is a baby-step to greatness and you will soon achieve it. Faith/belief that you are a great philanthropist without giving to the needy is dead.

5 . Setting goals without working to achieve them is useless

If you set your goals on 1 January but you are not working on them then its most likely that you will not achieve them. Confidence must not only be felt but must also be a part of you. Take the necessary baby steps to reach your final goal. Move 1 step at a time in life and one day you will be sure to have what you want.

6 . Preparing a vision-board but not taking the action is useless

Vision-boards are a great way to jump-start you to succeed in whatever you want to achieve. With them you know you will achieve what you see for what you perceive is what you get. Whilst vision boards alone are so powerful to give you the outcome you want just focusing on them without taking the action may not give you the results. There is need for you to feels the need to achieve the necessary steps and move forward in life by taking the action that is needed.

7 . Find your 'why' to succeed?

Find more and more reasons to take the action. If you have a real moving desire inside I am sure you will achieve what you want. See the picture of what you want to achieve, feel yourself having what you need and work hard towards achieving it and only then will you have it. Write the reasons why you need something and then start working towards achieving that.

To sum up I shared with you some tips to increase your confidence. The main idea is to experience the real world. I have seen many people who plan and plan but do not achieve because they do not act and act. I say to you all work more hard to achieve your targets. Baby-steps to your goals day after day pay more than just sitting and reading inspirational steps. You have to get into the real world and see how it goes.
