I believe in God and I know we were created to weather any storm that may come our way in life. He said He will not suffer us to be tempted above what we can handle [1 Cor 10:13]. The story of Job in the bible makes another intriguing idea very clear to us. When we go through trying times we should remember Job’s story. How all that he went through was a test that was designed to bring him promotion. It all happened because God had so much confidence in his righteousness and loyalty that God boasted about him [Job 1:8]. So, when the temptations come, know that they are only a test, God only allowed them to happen because He knows what he has put in us. He knows what we are made of. And that every test that we ace is an avenue for promotion. A good teacher knows to periodically tests his students, not in order to fail them, but to challenge them to study and improve. That is why a test will never be overly beyond what a child’s capabilities are. How much more when God, who is not only our father but our teacher and guide, allows us to go through trials and temptations.
Remember that though he hasn’t promised to remove us from our trials, He said he’ll be with us every step of the way–encouraging, guiding and strengthening us. So next time you’re facing one trial or another, remember that its just a test and that you’re only being given that test because that’s your level and you can ace it!!!
