Excellent post my friend. Mindfulness, connecting negative thoughts with positive memories. Re-mapping the mind. This could be a good exercise, or do this when those negative thought-loops come to town. Mental health is no different than physical health. You have to work at it everyday like you would with weights or cardio. I'm researching this topic, with psilocybin and how it can re-map/re-wire the brain, flip-flopping these types of negative thought-biases and connecting them with positive stimulus.
Very cool @therightsideofup! I haven't done any personal psilocybin adventures but I have explored ayahuasca and I can personally say it's been incredibly beneficial for my mental and spiritual health. Definitely something the world will adopt in the future. For now, us trailblazers will just have to suffice ;-)
This is a fantastic experiment. What do you think about the love emotion in general? I have been having some great experiences with it and the knowledge I've been learning about how powerful it is.
I had a similar post today in regards to simplicity. One easy trick/hack to increase brain capacity. Would love to hear your thoughts on that also.
@bitdollar the love emotion is so interesting to me as it comes in so many forms. I think it's easily mistaken for attachment...which isn't actually love imo. True love, to me, is the ability to enjoy something without holding onto it. Life can be an eternal state of love when we are willing to let go of everything.
I read in a book recently that love is a background emotion and not how we typically think of it. Which I think has some truth. I agree with you that it has many forms. It is not something we hold on to but something that is there. Love that! Thanks @axios!
This is a great process and a reminder that you can change everything in just a few moments. Everything we do in life is ultimately about how it makes us feel.
@axios WOW this is truly amazing! I am glad you stopped by and left a comment on my post if not I wouldn't have seen this one.
The idea of knowing how to change a state of a person have been tossed around for years but to break down that abstract thoughts into something so layman isn't easy. Good work! (: Followed
@cryptoneil I really appreciate that. It's definitely my focus to do so as I've read a ton of literature and have practiced it myself for years, but I would get caught up in complexities that weren't necessary! Simplicity is the key ;-)
Really glad we have connected here. Wishing you the best, friend!
This is a great post @axios! I actually use a very similar series of steps to feel amazing. This is something that I've picked up from Tony Robbins and through daily meditation. Meditation really helped me hone these feelings and I can start a session with 1 emotion and end the session with an amazing feeling that I can essentially hand-pick out of my own brain and experiences. Thanks for sharing this and keep up the good work building your community, I can hear the passion and enthusiasm in your voice!
@khaleelkazi, totally hear you there on meditation. It really does help to understand the root of an emotion. I was discussing this with another steemian the other day that sometimes shifting your emotional state takes time, and in my opinion, that's because we first need to understand how we feel and the underlining meaning of that feeling. Once we truly feel it and accept it, then we are free to move and change as we wish.
Thanks for sharing that! Really appreciate your kind words as well. Cheers friend!
Thank you for this post! Unworthiness comes up for me a lot, its a story that I've written into my life but I can't pinpoint where it came from. I have done A LOT of work this year through yoga and the Embody Love Movement to move through some of that rubbish.
Becoming aware of the times I drift into that space has really helped me. I know notice when I do it and have set conditions to pull me out of it or re-direct my path. I am worthy of everything that I have worked so hard for and I need to stand in my own light, not be afraid to be seen and while I'm learning to embrace the feeling of that light, it still makes this introvert a little anxious to step in.
It's ALL yoga and thats what keeps me going back on my mat. It always feels better to have the sun on your face than the shadow, but without the shadow, we would never appreciate the sun!
Ah I love this @k10yoga! I think that understanding our true worth is a life long process. It's quite an epic journey for sure! And like you said, the shadow of unworthiness is what allows us to appreciate the light of our worth! My name "axios" actually means "worthy". I seek to discover the worth that exists in myself as it does in you!
Really glad to have connected. I have followed you @k10yoga! Gonna celebrate with a cat-cow right now lol
I love you! I did this and I chose Joyful and I'm so giddy right now! It's similar to somatic experiencing. I share this kind of thing with people too! This is one of the best posts I've seen. I love the PARTICIPATION. You're rocking this! REsteemed
Wow @lilastar! Thank you so much for the profoundly positive response here. I really appreciate the feedback. Makes me feel so great :) And so awesome to hear you are sharing this with people too! Followed :)
What a lovely exercise! We need all the help we can get and this was immediately resultant. I have to admit watching 45's press conference this morning left me feeling stressed with a pain in the middle of my chest, my heart.
What I imagined was how I feel when I realize that there are so many wonderful things going on in the world, especially right here in my own community of Harlem...especially so, things have improved for everyone in NYC in countless ways and it's only getting better despite who is currently in the oval office.
This is awesome man! I've been feeling a vague sense of anxiety and unease lately. I chose confidence as my emotion, confidence in myself and in this present moment. And as i'm writing this I just looked at the clock and it's 5:55 hahah amazingg. Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoyed the video part, is that your own person video? If so, I feel like you need to make these videos with every post! (maybe you do?) Also, random, but you are really cute! Your face should be your main "image"
I really appreciate your thoughts here. It is my video and I've been doing them more lately. I like having that personal touch as it's one thing to write a bunch of stuff and another to actually show yourself and talk about it. I've had mixed reactions to it thus far so I'm happy to hear it's something you feel is worth doing. And I'm going to take your advice with the profile image :)
For sure it is way more of a personal touch, it builds more of a connection to who the person you are listening to is. I mean, you are free to do as you please i'm just basing it on my own ideas and I feel you are cute enough to have your main image of every post to be your face. Like if you have a video listed have it as your main post image, even the still image of your video in this post looks good. I was surprised to find a video on this post, and seeing it made me want to keep clicking more of your posts to see if there was more videos! They are for sure a really good idea and you should keep it up!
Thank you @amethystrosee. I'm on that page for sure. My intention for this page is to be more authentic and transparent as I write, film, share, etc and it makes sense to me to share my face more. I think youre quite cute as well and you're right, it does get you to keep clicking :)

Wow! This is amazing. Tried it two minutes ago, looking for some peace. Loved it! I will save it for the future. Thank you so much for posting! :)
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it @dreamdiary :)

Exactly. We place emotional value on everything. Crypto is a great example of that!
