In the University of Texas in Dallas have developed fabric on the basis of nanotubes, capable to generate energy from movements of a thorax of the person at breath. It consists of the twisted carbon fibers and has received the name "twystron". The physical mechanism of her work is surprisingly simple.
At the moment the technology of creation of tvistronny fabric is rather difficult and expensive. However her potential to collect free energy from any movements can make a revolution, for example, in the sphere of the Internet of things. Pieces of tvistronny fabric can collect energy of ocean waves for food of buoys of communication, and the clothes with inserts of nanofibre can feed sensors or small gadgets.

Nice find, the world is changing so fast!
Good post
Nanotech is really leading the charge on tackling some of civilisations greatest challenges. At least problems dealing with the Newtonian level of physics
Wearable TECH is the new thing and imagine being able to power what you wear with what you wear... :)
Yes, a technology like this could make our phones charge while walking, running or even drinking coffee - suffice it to say not piping hot coffee for more arm gestures..
we are living in a perfect age for evolution ;)
