Diving into the March State of the Game, we've rounded up the most exciting updates and alpha for you! For the full scoop, including the AMA segment, check out the recording on X, here.

Game Updates
Environmental Optimizations
We're on the verge of wrapping up optimizations for Mahzookoo Island. It has been a major focus that has taken the art team hundreds of hours. A lot of changes have already been implemented. These improvements eliminated inefficiencies in Mahzookoo, making the game more beautiful without sacrificing quality. We're currently working on the foliage and road system. Expect the map to expand with more points of interest (POIs) being added.

Character / Animations Upgrade
We've significantly overhauled our character models and animations to optimize for mid/low end devices, involving a specialist studio to achieve AAA quality without changing the physical appearance. This major update, the most substantial in KOMPETE's history, introduces lighter characters, smoother animations, modular clothing options, and hair physics. Both male and female characters are being integrated into the game, with teasers coming soon, marking a pivotal improvement in gameplay and visual quality.

iOS
We're close to releasing KOMPETE on iOS, and hope to submit for approval in the next couple weeks. Initially, the game will be available only on newer iPhones and iPads until we fully integrate our character updates. This expansion is a major milestone, expected to bring in many new players and reduce advertising costs. We'll announce when we're about to go live!

PlayStation
We're steadily progressing toward our PlayStation console release, with forms and financials being approved and the dev kit ready. We’re anticipating a straightforward porting from PC. We aim for a Q3 release, keeping in mind PlayStation's timelines, and plan to tackle the Xbox version next.

Basketball
The latest character update sets the stage for us to continue working on basketball! The only significant work left is polishing animations, and we expect the process to progress quickly thanks to ongoing collaboration with the animation studio that helped us with our character update.

New Player Build Mechanics
KOMPETE is introducing a detailed build system, allowing players to commit to a specific player style and level up from 90 to 99 overall through gameplay or purchases. This system, unique among battle royales, adds depth, replayability, and encourages experimentation with up to 30 builds per game mode. A new onboarding process will guide players in selecting a game mode, creating their first build, and learning through a tutorial, ensuring they're aware of the game's depth. This update aims to enhance the fun and engagement in KOMPETE.

Game Economy Updates
Konvert V1
Konvert V1, a groundbreaking feature allowing players to convert in-game items into NFTs, is set to launch! Final testing and security updates are underway, with a release aimed for next week for minting on Eth. Base integration coming soon! Konvert is an important tool that allows for gamers that are unfamiliar with crypto to establish real value without significant tech hurdles to get started.

Bazaar V1
The Bazaar V1, a platform for buying and selling game items with KOMPETE Token, is in its final testing phase and is set to launch 1-2 weeks after KONVERT goes live. This marks a significant milestone in achieving our vision for a seamless web2/web3 game economy and a secondary market. Future updates will focus on enhancing user experience, lowering transaction fees, and increasing market transparency with detailed supply statistics. This iterative approach reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and not waiting for perfection to provide value to players.

Base
We've started our integration with the Base network, setting up four liquidity pools and significant liquidity now available. The absence of taxes, a standard 1% pool fee, and the recent Ethereum upgrade have dramatically reduced gas fees to 1-10 cents, making Base an ideal platform for our game economy. Next steps include integrating Base to our cosmetics, Konvert, and the Bazaar. We are grateful to be building on Base!

Coinbase Pay
Coinbase Pay integration is in progress, allowing easy fund transfers and swaps for KOMPETE on the Base network directly from our website, marking a significant symbiosis with Coinbase. This tech is designed to onboard crypto newcomers smoothly and has shown great potential for future transactions, including shop and ticket purchases.

Gated Divine Shop
We're introducing a gated feature to our Divine Shop, requiring ownership of specific tokens, cosmetics, or NFTs for purchasing certain items. Set to launch post-KONVERT/Bazaar rollout, this enables exclusive partnerships and incentives, like special game items for token or NFT holders, enhancing both marketing opportunities and ecosystem utility.

Playerbase Stats
Steady Player Engagement
Average daily players remained roughly equal to last month at 694, signaling consistent player interest and the continued success of our marketing campaigns.

Peak Engagement During Updates
DAU hit highs of around 1300 with the release of the March Ticket and V.0.37 update, underlining the ability of new content to keep players in our ecosystem.

Growing Player Base
Over 15,000 new players joined KOMPETE this period, bringing the total to over 60,000 since Early Access began!

Increased Session Times
Players are more engaged than ever, with average session times slightly increasing to between 45 minutes and 1 hour 20 minutes.

February Ticket
In February, 774 tickets were unlocked, with about 33% of players reaching level 5 and 15% making it to level 10. Only 5 players reached level 14 without finishing, while 66 players completed the whole ticket, resulting in an 8.5% ticket completion rate.

Important Context
Our marketing spend has remained constant at approximately 1-2% of our anticipated monthly budget for later this year. Additionally, our mobile builds were temporarily inaccessible for around two weeks as we focused on completing the last batch of environmental optimizations.

Conclusion
In the upcoming updates for KOMPETE, we will be rolling out significant enhancements across the board! We will be upgrading environments and characters, and we're on the verge of launching on iOS and PlayStation. Future features like Konvert V1 and Bazaar V1 will elevate our game economy, while integrations with Base and Coinbase Pay will make entering the crypto space smoother for our players. With our player base set to grow and engage even more, we're looking forward to what lies ahead. Let's fucking KOMPETE!
