Tech seems to be getting hit hard. I know a guy who was just about to get laid off but right before it happened he found a new job. He didn't know about the lay off, so it was pure luck.

That's luck for sure my company said they were done have a sweeping layoff last year but they just cut another septment in half. I think big businesses are hiding stuff to keep markets up during these first few week of the new administration. I know my company is trying to keep everything hush hush. The last layoff only got post because if leaks.
That's horrible. I've been through something like that and it is never fun. I feel bad for all the people it impacts. Especially when it happens out of the blue. That is just brutal. The guy I know was lucky enough to get a job at a place he used to work called Liquid Web.
