How did the miniseries get blocked?

By attempting a programming coup against the series, the Clinton forces have brought enormous attention to the film, and for that I thank them.

Some notes from the documentary:

• Directors for the the "Path to 9/11" were doxxed with public calls to "take the gloves off
• Disney refused to let the director publicly defend the minseries from charges it was an anti-Clinton hitpiece
• Bill Clinton called Bob Eiger and demanded the movie be stopped

Sharyl Attkisson's The Smear: How Shady Political Operatives and Fake News Control What You See, What You Think, and How You Vote details the kind of covet media empires that undertakes these pressure campaigns...Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal, who is mentioned very frequently in this documentary, is mentioned quite frequently in Attkinson's book as well.

The criticism and controversy sections include one one-line complaint about an unspecified misrepresentation of the 9/11 commission from one of its members. This is followed followed by five to six paragraphs of various sources defending the series against unknown and unmentioned criticisms, alongside some conspiracy theory involving the influence of the Clintons

"Debunking" efforts directed at the miniseries...

fails to identify Clarke as a former Clinton administration official and Bush critic: "In particular, some critics - including Richard A. Clarke, the former counterterrorism czar - questioned a scene that depicts several American military officers on the ground in Afghanistan. In it, the officers, working with leaders of the Northern Alliance, the Afghan rebel group, move in to capture Osama bin Laden, only to allow him to escape after the mission is canceled by Clinton officials in Washington.
