I have read so many books in my life that I have so much knowledge that sometimes it is difficult to apply it because I lack much of it and I do research to try to understand them. When I was very young I heard opinions from different points of view, I even debated so many that I lost count, I was so curious that I asked myself so many questions about what this emotion or feeling was about, why is it so important to us, what does it lead to?
I read a book that for me is the most wonderful book in the world, and that has been my best friend all my life, explains that it is curious that everyone, when I say everyone is, THE WHOLE WORLD! He's trying to get it, but no one knows. How? Where to study it? And a very particular one, Why are some people always happy, and while we see it they are the most frequently asked questions we can ask today. It is very common to dream, to have a future, to create goals, even to go after success but.... All this without a cost?
When we speak of happiness we speak of the fact of a job, a job that is not easy and that requires a lot of time, dedication, and above all Love. The decision to be happy is not about someone else demanding that you have it or because you have seen successful, wealthy people, with all the luxuries you would like to have someday, and you consider that they are happy to have all this, even if they are slaves of work to obtain things is also to achieve happiness, because if you think like that friend or friend of mine is in complete error because they are false beliefs about happiness. Certainly, wanting everything you ever dreamed of, the car, the house, the latest model phone, the best jewelry, among others, is the best thing in the world, but happiness should not be confused with momentary pleasure.
Why, I'll tell you, I recently read a book where I explained the myths of happiness, it is said that human beings have such an extraordinary capacity to adapt to all kinds of situations that this was called hedonistic adaptation. The hedonistic adaptation is our ability to get used to positive situations, this hits us much harder when it comes to couples, after a relationship ends they feel incomplete so that is why it is said that happiness is not found in something material or in a person is found when you leave the heart and feel comfortable with it, what happens to it after a while? It becomes normal and commonplace even if we don't realize that this doesn't happen very often, and that sometimes we make decisions very quickly and without thinking about it.
We don't even take the time to question what we're doing. And it is so impressive if we make a percentage of the large number of people who research, and because of our current situation, we also take out the percentage of great unhappiness would go between 70% to 30%.
If we go to the part of philosophy, in ancient Greece, many types of points were defined, one that I can mention and I think is the best known is Aristotle, he said that we all wanted complete happiness even when we tried to obtain them started a certain discrepancy, I make clear certain points.
- To be happy is to realize oneself, to reach the goals of a human being.
- To be happy is to be self-sufficient, to look after oneself without depending on anything or anyone.
- To be happy is to experience intellectual and physical pleasure and to avoid mental and physical suffering.
Aristotle argues that all men agree that the unity of human ends is called happiness, and that it was even difficult to define and describe it. Hence opinions as to how to understand were divided into pleasures, honors, Aristotle refused to the fact that wealth can cause happiness, as it could become a means to obtain goods.
These are no longer external pleasures that are not for themselves, but because they are means to attain happiness, happiness will be almost impossible to attain by thinking like this. For Aristotle, human happiness is based on self-realization within a collective and the performance that this places in it. The philosophy of the latter on the eastern side explains that it is a quality that manifests itself as a feeling of well-being that lasts over time and not as a mood of passing origin. In psychology it is a subconscious state of mind where the personality tries to condition the environment to our desire having this the facility or the capacity to make decisions that keep it in the day to day life neither more nor less happy.
And you may wonder why these people thought so?
And you may wonder why these people thought so?
Throughout history, to this day, if you look hard enough, there are millions of examples of people who, throughout their lives, have gone through so many problems that there is always a mark between 50 and 50.
Why do I say that?
I read that the cases where people who come out of this problem are because they had a degree of confidence, motivation, determination and performance when it came out of it, because at the end of that chaotic problem, they found the solution and today we can say, "Look how successful. On the other hand, there are people who, after so many problems, are so resentful that their hearts become so hardened that they become empty, and it is there that they set out to do so many things to fill that void and thus achieve happiness that they are simply toxic people.
