The chances are slim, but the POTENTIAL PAYOFF of a real investigation into what brought down the twin towers plus building #7 (and it sure as hell wasn't jet fuel burning too cool to burn all that office paper, or Mohammed Atta's passport) on 9-11-2001 is to big to ignore without at least a passing notice to all my friends in the truther/patriot/conservative/Christian communities:

Will it be a real investigation, or one heavily skewed to an alternative hypothesis that is more palatable to the masses.
In this blog
you can see much of the necessary discussions being made. Having observed metal rebar go soft under water and become pyrophoric in air, despite having a solid cross-section, and having tested samples of metal that have disintegrated without heat, it is no surprise how the buildings fell.
It was not 2, not 3, but substantially ALL of the WTC buildings that were destroyed. Some even flopped over or had parts literally disappear from top to bottom with either circular or straight sections removed.
Then there is Bankers trust building across the street, this continued to disintegrate for many years until they gave up trying to save it.
Until you can explain why re-bar glowed in free-air 11 days after the event, why there was no glass fragments found at Ground Zero, why there was round holes in windows in adjacent buildings, you are not understanding the true technology used.

But, to answer your first question, I doubt much will come of it, honestly. There is always government agents involved in one way or another in obfuscating/hindering/destroying any real investigations.
