Perhaps a little, but the whole charter school movement is being pushed by billionaires who want to take over the entire public school system to institute workforce training instead of what we would call real education, and to do away with all the liberal arts...all for their profits, of course.
sir mepatriot..they want to train a population to just go along and work in their factories or something like that? I realized I know very little about Charter Schools and how they operate compared to public schools.
Factories, offices, whatever..these people have no need of a truly educated populace. In fact, they view that as a very real threat to their power.
So, per usual, they have designed an alternative (to the public education crisis THEY CREATED) that they are seeking to bring about and to control, that is a win-win for corporatism. They get neutered worker bees, and they get all the profits--both from/of their education, and their life-long labors.
