Jussie Smollett - What's it really about?

Who is Jussie Smollett?

Jussie Smollett is generally reported to be an actor who plays a minor role of the TV program 'Empire'. He is also a singer/songwriter who does extensive concert tours. As a musician, he has a website: JussieSmollettMusic.com and, judging from the one music video I watched, he's quite good in this area. I have also heard that he is a music contributor for the 'Empire' series.

Smollett is also an activist & quite connected in Liberal circles as are his sisters. His high profile friends include Adam Schiff, Corry Booker, Kamala Harris, Maxine Waters and both of the Obamas.

May 2018 - Jussie appears on Epix in an episode of the "America Divided" series as narrator. The topic of that episode was hate crimes with a focus on the lynching history in Tennessee.

Feb. 15 - After questioning, the original suspects are no longer considered as suspects and the narrative begins to flip. The 'Nigerian' brothers (actually born in Chicago) who were connected to the 'Empire" TV program and the original 'persons of interest' tell police they were paid by Smollett for their role in this.

While it can be established that Kamala Harris & Jussie Smollett know each other, the claim that they are related may never be proven or dis-proven. I have seen a mention that information related to that issue has been scrubbed from the Internet. To that end, I submit an alleged screenshot that was posted on 8Chan and a current on of Jake Smollett's Wikipedia page.

There is still a lot to unravel with all of this and I leave it to each individual to connect the dots as they see fit. As for me, it appears to be another attempt to push the "Trump&followers are racist" narrative while also putting a little extra push behind the anti-lynching legislation in Congress. Corry Booker's latest remarks, as well as the position seem to be trying to separate the incident from the anti-Trump narrative.

Obviously lynching hasn't been a current events issue in decades, which makes the inclusion of it in the Smollett story are curious. It seems that there was a significance to doing that and the legislation connection can't be ignored. By why exactly? I have seen mentions that it is because hanging is the punishment for treason and those involved in Deep State activities are worried, but how does giving lynching a 'hate crime' designation relate to treason sentencing? There was, however, another suggestion that I came across on 8Chan. There was speculation that the left may have plans to use Antifa to stage hate crime false flags to be blamed on Conservatives.
