Never Mind the Evidence

in #informationwar6 years ago (edited)

Today we just witnessed in the world wide mainstream media, a well coordinated propaganda attack against Russia.

Apparently the Dutch government recently evicted 4 Russian Spy’s. And these 4 men, seem to be involved in almost everything the West recently accused Russia off.

Isn’t that coincidental? Furthermore, all the usual suspects are involved (again). So again we hear the narratives about the poisoning of the skripals, MH17 and so on.

It has been said before that news travels fast, but what we just witnessed today was not the normal newscycles, these were obviously preplanned, premade scenario’s & scripts, pushed over the telex, so even the local papers could feed us civilians of the world, our propaganda. Just in time to create their version of the ‘truth’, and (if you know what too look for & when they follow their usual script) hiding something nasty in the meantime.

They cover their dirt with lies, and it works every time.

“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”, is a law of propaganda often attributed to the Nazi Joseph Goebbels.

Among psychologists something like this known as the "illusion of truth" effect.

Here's how a typical experiment on the effect works: participants rate how true trivia items are, things like "A prune is a dried plum". Sometimes these items are true (like that one), but sometimes participants see a parallel version which isn't true (something like "A date is a dried plum").

After a break – of minutes or even weeks – the participants do the procedure again, but this time some of the items they rate are new, and some they saw before in the first phase.

The key finding is that people tend to rate items they've seen before as more likely to be true, regardless of whether they are true or not, and seemingly for the sole reason that they are more familiar.

And so things go with our western news cycles, because there is an agenda, and that needs to be followed.

Edit, after uploading this small article in which i vented my initial thoughts about the breaking news, i stumbled upon the following (Dutch) article.

apperantly a famous Dutch (prime time) tv host and her new tv show, were (coincidentally enough), shooting their (new) tv program at the dutch ambassadors residence when the recent news about Russia broke!

So now they can ‘show’ us the story from behind the scenes. And also create these background news articles about it .... my bullshitometer goes +10000 in the red
