Now the mental illness has invaded minds in the form of "so-called" compassion.
Yet in reality that compassion looks something like this...
No matter how many people you want to help, your raft, boat, etc only has buoyancy of a certain amount. This is also true of your own funds and resources.
Uncontrolled "compassion" is suicide. Compassion is a good thing, but it must be tempered with reason.
I am beginning to think that compassion is not a good thing...
...however, i feel that is more that i am changing the definition of compassion.
There are two kinds of people, those who are self starters, and those who aren't.
The self starter, you help get them back on their feet, and they will soon get a job and a place of their own.
The other will just... not just sleep on your couch, but will take over your couch, making it their home, and be upset if you try to regain control of your couch. And they will be upset if the TV flow is cut off. And basically, you will have to throw out your couch. And that person will just go find another couch.
Further, we have a lot of youths whose lives are being destroyed, and instead of just giving them money, what they really need is a job and a place in the community. These things bring them a sense of belonging and a fill the soul. Just throwing money at the problem usually ends up with the youth becoming a junky. (drugs, alcohol, sex...)
Anyway, compassion definitely is NOT
taking in a bunch of men when you do not have jobs and goods to maintain your own.
I think it is fine. As long as it is tempered with reason and it is voluntary.
Compassion by proxy is not compassion.
If you do it yourself that is compassion.
If you have someone else do it for you (like the government) that has nothing to do with compassion and is a scam. Pure virtue signalling.
EDIT: Using someone elses money to "Help" people is also not compassion. Socialism is not compassion. It is all a sham. People buy into it like it is compassion, but it is not.
Yet so many words and meanings are hijacked these days that it can be confusing. It is the war raging for control of the territory inside of our minds.
