NATO and Terrorists Bomb Syrian Town Killing and Injuring Civilians including Children

in #informationwar3 years ago

The army of NATO member state Turkey and Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups operating with it in northern Syria shelled the town of Ras Al Ain and several villages in its vicinity with heavy artillery and missiles killing 3 civilians and injuring dozens.

The barbaric attack destroyed many houses and forced dozens of families to flee from their hometowns seeking refuge in other towns.

The civilians killed were 2 women and an elderly man in their homes, the injured included many children, this latest war crime is within a series of targeted policies by NATO member state Turkey to Israelize large areas in oil-rich agricultural and water-rich northern region of Jazira in Syria, it's called 'Jazira' which literally means Island in Arabic as it's surrounded with the Euphrates and its branch rivers.

Turkish madman Erdogan is uprooting the local Syrians from the targeted cities, towns, and villages, and replacing them with families of terrorists loyal to him, Syrians from other regions and from other countries, hence the term 'Israelize' to describe this war crime.

NATO is a mutual defense treaty where members will defend each other in response to an attack by an external party. Your continued efforts to blame NATO for the actions of a member state, Turkey, are at best misinformed, at worst intentionally disingenuous.

Nor does the Syrian government itself have clean hands, that's why it finds itself without any friends other than Russia (although when it comes to Russia, it is hard to say it is ever your "friend").

On paper NATO certainly is a defence alliance, yet the view point that NATO members are politically pressured to participate in US and turkeys wars (syria, iraq, afghanistan ect..) is also common among NATO countries such as Germany. In fact 5% of Germans voted a party (die linke) that promised to exit NATO. Our new foreign minister is also likely to take a tougher stance against these political pressures and end German military involvements in US their wars.

It is true that no side in Syria are angels, but who is the lesser of the evil? ISIS? turkish trained FSA forces that kill kurds and christians? or Asad that actually has a track record of giving women equal oportunity and education? who you think is more fit to rule syria? my bets are on Assad...

hence as a voter of @blocktrades I ask thee to end censoring his posts, as this is a free speech platform and his viewpoints are certainly a common one even among NATO countries.

@steemcleaners just as i have asked blocktrades, I would kindly ask you as well to uphold the freedom of speech on this platform. as i stated in the above comment to blocktrades, @arabisouri does represent an opinion that is popular even within NATO countries and hence should not be brushed aside. I firmly believe that repression of opinion would only lead to extremism and represses discussions necessary for our democracy, and would not distinguish hive from facebook (which is partly responsibly for the rohinga genocide due to its anger causing algorythm)...
