when it comes right down to it… most eagles weigh about as much as your biggish house cat. You could literally grab an attacking eagle anywhere, and slam it down on the ground or break its frail hollow bones. If she/he is stuck into your back, you could just fall onto your back and you’d have an eagle pancake, instantly. A Bobcat could do far more damage to a human, than an eagle. Eagles know their limits, and therefore don’t hunt humans. It would be suicide. For the simple fact that we have hands, if nothing else. Did you see that scene in the movie “AVENGERS”, where Loki was talking smack to The Hulk, and Hulk just grabbed him and whacked him 20 times on the ground, like a rag doll? Yeah, you could do that to an eagle. Hopefully you won’t lose an eye, but that’s about the worst case scenario. Sure, they could tear you up with their talons (look at the size of that foot!), but that’s only if you just stand there and allow it. Who is going to do that? Again, they are very light with very frail bones. Unlike a mammal with terrifyingly large, similar claws… these claws are not attached to a powerfully muscled, robust, heavy animal on the other side of those claws. It’s a 15–20 lb. lightweight bird. They don’t have the body mass to tear or rip. The best they can do is puncture and hold on to you. At that point, they are at your mercy.
