- Joaquín Guzmán Loera (The "Chapo" Guzmán):
Leader of the organization called the Blood Alliance, he became the main drug trafficker. In 2001 he was considered the second man most wanted by the FBI and Interpol after Osama Bin Laden. He was captured in February 2014, escaped and was again trapped in January 2016.

- Bernardo Provenzano:
He was the top leader of the Cosa Nostra Siciliana until his arrest in 2006. Provenzano is related to 127 murders of mafiosos and drug traffickers, his little participation in social life activities have kept him away from photographs and never had an audio about his voice. He died in prison in July 2016.
- Rafael Caro Quintero:
He is the founder of the cartel of Guadalajara being nicknamed the "Narco de Narcos". In 1989 he was sentenced to prison for kidnapping, qualified homicide, planting, growing, harvesting, transportation and trafficking of marijuana, cocaine supply and criminal association. He is currently free.
