I remember back in 2008 when people were saying the same thing. One old guy told me to buy the more expensive stuff first, like gold, because at 5000 usd/oz, you probably won't be able to afford it but silver at 500 usd/oz will still be affordable. So all those little things, like toothpaste and soap and toilet paper, even if it hits 20 usd, you could still afford it. It would definitely suck to pay that much for toothpaste or soap, but it' definitely doable.
