Aceh is blessed with many beuatiful white sandy beaches. As someone who loves traveling where tourist have never set foot, the Deyah Raya Beach was perfect. Only visited on weekends by handful of locals, the beach is quiet and clean on most days. Enjoy the lovely sunsets and the rhythmic sounds of the waves kissing the shore.
Loacated around 20 kilometers from Banda Aceh, Lampuuk Beach is a sloping stretch of soft white sand facing the magnificent Indian Ocean. Lush pine trees that used the fence the beach were uprooted during the tsunami, but now they have started to grow again. Fresh fish vendors waited patiently for visitors who loved to eat freshly grilled seafood on the beach. Sunbathing, fishing, sailing, diving and surfing are main activities here in Lampuuk.
Just a few kilometers south of Lampuuk, Lhok Nga Beach is more popular beach that has long been the ultimate tourist destination. Situated right on the main road that connects Banda Aceh and Calang in the Regency of Aceh Jaya, the beach is always crowded with tourists as well as locals who often use the beach as a rest area along rides to the southern region of Aceh. The beach is adorned with small huts with chairs and tables where visitors can enjoy one of the best panoramic views in Aceh.
