Elektabilitas Joko Widodo (Jokowi) continues to excel in a number of political surveys. However, the advantages in a number of surveys were judged not a guarantee of Jokowi's victory in the 2019 presidential election.
Democratic Party vice-chairman Nurhayati Ali Assegaf said the survey was not the only reference in measuring the succession of leadership successes in democracy.
"It's a dynamic thing, even if it's a handle, not the only one," said Nurhayati at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (23/4/2018).
Although superior in various surveys, Nurhayati rate, Jokowi still likely to be defeated in the 2019 presidential election. Nurhayati also hope there will be an alternative candidate who became challenger Jokowi.
"In democracy we do not want to give a little choice to the community," said Nurhayati.
The Democrat Party also reminded the government not to be complacent with the results of a survey that calls the level of public satisfaction with Jokowi's performance of 72.2%. "Good if people feel satisfied, but the government should not fast themselves," said Nurhayati.
