My Indian followers can understand this relation better. But all people are heartily welcome here to read this post. I am gonna compare the American sitcom “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” with an Indian sitcom.

Many of you must have seen “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” and most of you must be its fan. Similarly in India “Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah(TMKOC)” is famous. It has a large viewership and has a lot of crazy fans. It also stands at fifth in the list of the longest-running Indian television series in India with 2485 episodes.

Let me tell you plot of both the sitcoms so that you can easily understand the comparison. The plot of the TMKOC is set at a housing society. The residents of this society help each other find solutions when they face common real-life challenges and get involved in sticky situations. While Friends is the story of six friends living in Manhattan, who experience comfort and companionship with each other as they indulge in many adventures.

For some of you it may be hard to draw a comparison between both shows. For that reason, I have sorted out three similarities which can make you agree with me.

1. Light hearted show

The sole motive of both the shows is to put a smile on the faces of its viewers. They simply throw out all the stress from viewers’ minds and the viewer can not resist himself from doing anything other than laughing.

To achieve this motive, the actors of both the shows have done a fabulous job. They have completely gone into the character and their reactions, expressions and gestures are simply amazing. Each character has a different sense of humour and the timing of each character’s joke in the show is brilliant.

2. Same level of craziness among its audience

Both the shows have same level of craziness among its audience. I still watch “Friends” whenever I feel depressed or do not feel like to work. In India, TMKOC is famous among all age groups, be it children, women or men. I have recently listened about a 12 year boy, who was addicted to TMKOC. He used to watch TMKOC secretly from his mother till 2 at night. Those who are addicted to these shows can watch them at any hour of the day and would not feel tired even after watching the whole day.

3. Dealing with common man’s daily life struggles and problems with a lot of laughter

The directors of both the shows know very well when to put a joke and when to allow the viewers to get empathise with the characters. Both these shows deals with common man’s daily life problems. They do not exaggerate things and show them as it is present in the real world. Despite the number of problems the character is facing in the show, the directors make sure that the people laughs and enjoys every second of the show.

I hope I convinced the people who had watched both the shows. You may still disagree with me and can put your views in the comments below.

Great to see Indians are spreading over steemit do rapidly...

As will grow may see a page where we can have the option to communicate in Hindi too...

Bharat Mata ki jai

Communication in Hindi on Steemit is still very far. There are only handful of Indian Steemians who are working hard on the platform. The number of active accounts from India should increase then only we can dream of Hindi communication on Steemit. There are only one or two accounts on Steemit which posts in Hindi. I hope to see more active users from India on Steemit.
