The Lambi Dehar Mines are located at the outskirts of the scenic hill station of Mussoorie in India. Considered to be one of the most haunted places in India, the mines were shut down after an unusual incident in the 1990s. About half a million workers in the mines died coughing blood which is said to be the result of improper mining conditions. The area had been almost deserted now as the locals believe it to be haunted. The locals say that the place is home to a witch who walks down the hills during night and has claimed many lives. They also claim to hear strange noises from the mines during the night. Many accidents and unusual deaths have made this place infamous as one of the spookiest place in India.
