Cleaner India is not just a dream.

in #india7 years ago (edited)

Hours before I posted about how cleaner India is still a distant dream, but this piece of news gave me new hope. A law maker from Madhya Pradesh has set an example. If every youth of this nation follows his footstep the dream of having a cleaner India will be achieved much sooner than expected.

Janardan Mishra, didn't think twice before he bent over the pot to remove the mud that had been blocking the pot in the school toilet during his visit to one of the state run aided school. The incident happened when he found out that the school kids didn't use the toilet as it was blocked. He extracted the mud all with the bare hands and also inserted reed in the pit and kept pumping till the water got flushed without hindrance.

This was not the first time that this man had done something that was worth applauding. He has been seen clipping kids nails during his last visit to one of the other schools. On another instance, while he was inspecting the school kids, he found out that fee of them didn't take a shower, so he gave them all a good bath that included feet scrubbing.

Janardan Mishra is an influential man, he could have ordered his men to get all the work done, but he didn't do so, he preferred doing it all by himself. He didn't feel shame in doing such things. People like Janardhan Mishra only can make India a cleaner place. People should keep their surroundings clean as they keep their house clean.

But then, where there is good, there is bad. On a contradictory incident, Kalicharan Saraf, Rajasthan's health minister was photographed urinating on the wall, which he claimed was not a big deal.

You need to decide which one you want to be like, Janardhan Mishra or Kalicharan Saraf. Wake up guys, we need to clean the country for our kids, not just for photographs.
