In the year 2011, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.
In the year 2015, he was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2014.
In this way, he received this honor after his father Prithviraj Kapoor and elder brother Raj Kappur. K. Kapur became the third member of the family
Shashi Kapoor's real name was Balbir Raj Kapoor. He was born at the home of the famous actor Prithviraj Kapoor. While walking on the steps of his father and brothers, he also tried his fame in the film itself. Shashi Kapoor had started reducing in the film since the 40s. He played roles in many religious films. He completed the post from Don Bosci School of Mumbai. Father Prithviraj Kapoor used to encourage them to act on the stage during Chhotito.
