A Breathtaking View: The Majestic Beauty of Tanglang La

in #india3 months ago

The feeling of winter is cold and @worldmappin's #winterchallenge has become very hot. The challenge has become very fast and many hivers are posting such good content that I am also improving my writing by reading their posts, seeing their amazing photos of snow, I myself reach all those landscapes to roam with them. Although I have never gone out of India, I would like to go somewhere where I can see the winter mountains.

Yesterday we started from Debring and enjoyed the snowfall on Tanglang La. Yesterday we had a lot of fun after descending to the pass. We became witnesses of snowfall at 5319 meters and spent many hours here. Getting down from the car and sitting near the milestone here and clicking photos was really a big challenge. Due to snowfall at such a height, dangerously cold wind is blowing here, the temperature here is -3 degrees right now but it feels like -15 degrees.

If the weather is clear, then from Tanglang La pass we can see peaks like Khardung La, Stok Kangri, Mentok Kangri etc. I have also heard from someone that K2 peak situated in Pakistan is also visible from here. You all must be knowing about K2, this peak is the second highest peak in the world after Everest whose height is 8848 meters. A temple dedicated to all religions has been built on Tanglang La pass.

Here on the top, amidst fresh snow, Buddhist flags are installed around the temple which are flying in the strong wind. These Buddhist prayer flags are installed so that the mantras present in these flags fly in nature and flow in all four directions and peace is established in the world. There is a tent on the top here, on entering which we come to know that this is a tea shop. We also drink tea here. Believe me, the cup of hot tea became cold as soon as it came in hand.

Now it became difficult to bear the wind and cold here, so without wasting much time, we sat in the car and started descending towards Leh. Where the entire route from Pang was uphill, now the entire route from Tanglang La is downhill. The car is descending on its own without turning on the engine, from this you can guess how steep the descent is. While descending, the cold is decreasing and the snow is also left behind several kilometers.

Looking back, it seems as if Tanglang La liked our visit and this pass wants us to come to meet it again. As soon as we descended from the mountain, the sky was surrounded by white thick clouds. At some places, the blue sky is also visible, while the peaks above 6000 meters peeking from behind the clouds are shining. We are slowly reaching closer to Leh and the joy of reaching our destination after so many days is very unique and amazing.

We enter Leh from the airport road, here there is some greenery which welcomes us to this city. It is not as cold here as it was on the tanglang la pass. Here we can see Shanti Stupa from the windows which is an iconic building of Leh city. Well, this was today's journey in which we reach Leh city from tanglang la which is situated at an altitude of 3600 meters. I hope you liked this blog.
