RE: What is an Incubator? [A New Layer for the Growth and Innovation of Steem]

in #incubator7 years ago

Commitment in terms of engagement, production, and curation regardless of payout and market price is the major motivating factor for us and will determine if and how new Steemians will mature in this ecosystem.

I think this is a fair way to assess the likelihood that a user on Steemit will remain on here. There's most definitely a specific mindset that is required, as the new foundation we are building here does require a new perspective that is not based in solely monetary value or attention.

Am I correct that May is the next time you will be accepting applications for the next incubation cycle?

Also, do you guys have any particular guidelines or advice for submitting a project? I have a few local projects that I'd love to bring to light this year. @sndbox has always stood out to me as a great way to heighten what we are already working on in the Austin community.

Oh and one more quick q: do y'all have a community discord channel?

Hi @axios, thanks for your supportive feedback! Once May rolls around (likely before that) we'll put a proposal section on our website where you can see a few examples / guidelines for project ideas.

We do not have a discord channel, but try our best to be super communicative via comments / and through the Steemit-wide challenges we host each week. Always feel free to speak your mind here and ask questions :) Thanks again!

Solid - I'll look forward to may (ish) then! Thanks for answering those q's @sndbox!
