A Impala Antelope - One of 29 Antelope Species found in South Africa. (Aepyceros melampus) Photo in Dikhololo Private Game Reserve in South Africa.

This is by far the most common Antelope found in the famous Kruger National Park.

Only the males carry horns and the fight to have the privilege to lead a heard of females. They all seem to have their babies at the same time and large herds of females and young can be found in spring at the start of the rainy season.

They are medium sized and preyed upon by almost all the medium and large predators.

In these photos we can appreciate, that even in the world we live in today, even with all the pollution and poaching that exists around Africa, there are still lots of these beautiful animals in the wild without being disturbed by the expansion of humans and the stupidities that human beings ocaciona at the time of not taking care of our planet, without a doubt a very beautiful image. @africaunited

really wonderful deer photography. very awesome click.

You said the first photo was taken in Dikhololo Private Game Reserve in South Africa. Where about is this? I've never heard of it, I know the Kruger National Park is in Limpopo. It would be interested to find out where the first one is.

It is just north of Pretoria, outside Brits.

Beautiful shots, especially the top one. Looked up breeding ("they all seem to have their babies at the same time")--they breed once a year, during the same season, only one offspring. There's a nice rundown on the animal at Animal Diversity Web. Apparently endangered, but I guess that's why they're at a preserve.

Thank you for sharing the web link. I’ll go have a look at it as I’m quite intrigued by these beautiful beasts.

You're welcome. I love animals and always stop to look at pictures that show them as well as these do. Once I've looked at the pictures, I want to know more.

This is a fantastic photoshot deer
