Starta has raised nearly half its goal in about 25 minutes.
STARTA - A Startup Accelerator
I'm always on the lookout for interesting ICOs so I thought I would share one which I think has great potential (assuming it goes to plan).
The project is called STARTA and is aiming to raise $5m dollars in a variety of cryptocurrencies to create something akin to a venture capital startup accelerator.
There are 21 companies tech companies involved some of whom already have some partial funding and are planning to launch in the US market.
To get the full details and read the whitepaper go to their website:
At the time of writing the ICO is about 25 minutes in and they have almost raised half of their 5 million dollar target.
The current price is roughly $1 per token and you can invest using the following cryptocurrencies:
- Bitcoin
- Litecoin
- Ethereum
- Ether Classic
- Waves
As always exercise caution and don't take my word for this being a good investment - I am not an expert and can be 100% wrong.
Please also let me know what you think of this project in the comments - I think these things are always a risk. The whitepaper doesn't really go into much detail - but that seems to be the rule rather than the exception in the crypto world!
Will check it out. Sounds promising. Worth investigating and researching. Once done, I will make an informed decision. Thanks for the heads up.
True Flip {ICO} - Already running a transparent blockchain lottery! Bomb! Bonus 20%! Hurry! :)

You're welcome!
Good share @thecryptofiend !
Do you know if they have plans on going to exchanges soon? Thanks bro, Im holding a little, bought early in the day. :D
There is no information yet but I think they probably will.
noob question: Does the 5M limit means there will be 5M tokens only?
Cheers
Yes that is how I understand it. They have sold out now and the ICO has finished.
Ok this looks interesting but I am bit careful on choosing ICO as my money in stuck in SONM and I am waiting for it to breakeven and then I will pull out and invest in a better ICO
Yes that is always a risk. I have invested in a few where it got stuck either as a result of delays or the price just tanked. In most cases they do make a profit though even if you have to wait a while.
That is why I skipped EOS and Tezos
But I am happy that I got some SP with thst money and it will help in long term.
Well with most of these things I am hoping to use the profits to invest in things that I believe in long term like Steem, Litecoin, Bitcoin and ETH.
Already have bitcoin ETC and strat in my Ledger wallet.
Steem is now here
Adding Siacoin now for long term
Bro do you have any channel in discord ?
No I'm not keen on using Discord it slows my computer down to a crawl.
That is fine. I was thinking to have contact on it for chat and other discussions

There are so many ICO's these days that it's becoming dificult to keep track of.
Right now we're in a mania phase. Many of these ICO's are seeing a huge rush in investment and interest. Make hay while the sun shines.
But many of these new digital coins and tokens will fail. Keep this in mind.

Oooh, love that Waves made the list of investment tokens!
I will search more about it interesting post.upvoted!!!
Thank you:)
It is an interesting concept but to me it seems a little odd in a way. Like they need Seed money to then provide seed money to other startup projects. Is that the way you interpret it as well? I mean a person could look at it like investing in a mutual fund where then they are invested in individual startups and if the net effect of those early projects is positive then you will come out ahead.
Well that is one way of looking at it. From my understanding of what they are doing it looks like a way of getting round the hurdles of allowing regular people to do something like VC investing.
yeah I can see it that way as well! In general that is why I love crypto. You can actually get in on the ground floor of these projects when before a regular person would have an extremely hard time investing in a startup.
So true it allows us regular people to get in on this sort of thing.
This is a waves token right? Have you looked into the difference of waves and Bitshares? I am very curious if any of these other platforms can supplant ethereum.
It is Waves based. The main difference is in the technology behind them Waves uses something called Scorex (or at least it did originally) and Bitshares uses Graphene but someone with more knowledge on the technical aspects can likely speak more to the differences. Right now I think it is hard to see anything displacing ethereum.
I think someone will. Eth is too general. It's like yahoo. There will be a google. Or Facebook and then linked in. The problem is there are network effects helping eth now but when the platform is used for other things I thtink then the ico pure play can win.
Initiatives like this keeps the crypto world fresh. Particularly like the look of Hyperverse.
They will also lead to the eventual consolidation of the industry
I haven't seen that - do you have a link?
Hyperverse.io
Thanks!
It looks interesting - but like with some of the other companies there isn't a whole lot of information yet. Aerostate also looks interesting from a public health perspective.
STARTA ICO looks really interesting with experienced team behind it. Thanks @thecryptofiend for sharing it.
You're welcome.
great share nice info.
I bought some Starta ICO!
Cool but I hope you didn't just buy it because of me - always check the details yourself I may be completely wrong.
I wrote a posts some days ago and I look at projects a lot, don't worry
Cool thanks just making sure!
Sure I trust in it! Did you invested?
Yes I did. Hopefully it succeeds and does well.
I utilised some of my free coins to get this. This project looks legit. They already have substance for ico. Plus its capped and they will buy back. All the things I like. But it will be a long hold, since they need to wait for investments to mature and won't be overnight flipping. I am ready to hold. Here's my article - https://steemit.com/starta/@sniperz/how-i-got-coins-in-starta-ico-for-free
How you format your article? (they look nice)
I always got some errors when trying to add something. You use html ?
I use html and markdown.
Thanks for the details, and happy 4th to you. Cheers
You're welcome. Thanks!
When I first saw this, I thought it was Start A ICO, as in, like how to start your own LMFAO!
Lol! Perhaps that is how they got the name!
I really like your post: D
Thanks!
Looks interesting, will research more about it.
Please let me know what you think.
well any crypto is a risk but thanks for sharing this. It seems like it's going well for them since they already achieved half of the goal.
Yes and I was able to invest without any problems - unlike some of the other ICOs - I think it helps to allow investment in a variety of currencies.
Yes indeed, variety of currencies definitely helps investing.
It looks very interesting, I would dig a little further and try and map out what their milestones are before diving in, but its like crowdfunding i guess.
The question is do the investors then get leverage to the success of what ever startup they invest in?
From what I understand that is tricky from a legal point of view in most countries - to get around this they will have a token buyback system. Presumably if the companies involved become very successful the token values will rise and they will buy back at a higher rate.
Well in theory it would be like buying berkshire hathaway (lol a bit of an exxageration) -- itd be like buying a company that does a lot of M&A -- so say IBM or something. In theory you are leveraged because of market cap i suppose.
So this concept would have to not make mistakes and their assets would have to appreciate. IT will be an interesting mix!
Yes I think that is the difficulty with these sorts of concepts - they can't be too specific as they could get into regulatory difficulties. I think eventually these things will be ironed out but I suspect by the time that happens us regular people will no longer be in on the party and it will be the very rich and the banks who are funding these things! We are exchanging risk for a chance to get in on things which we would normally be excluded from is one way of looking at it I think.
They already are lol -- JP Morgan is getting in early and IBM is about to take the world by storm with their blockchain tech. My question is if the world has enough computing power to make this sustainable....
I think if it isn't there already it will come. Also just heard that Deloitte is now teaming up with WAVES so things may be getting even more interesting.

Thank you.
I'm a beginner in this field I'm looking for some advices and your post really helps me thanks a lot for sharing it and keep on posting ;)
You're welcome but please don't just go on my opinion.
This can be a good investment alternative for what we started in the world of cryptones, since the investment may become accessible, thank you very much for this information
Have a beautiful day dear friend @thecryptofiend
Thank you. It could be but these things are always risky and it may not work out.
You have many reasons in what you say, the vast majority of investments carry a risk, is to clarify that you only have to invest the money that one can assume as lost and not all available capital, as my parents said under the risk this is the gain
So many new coins , evrytime I check my PC they start to multiply :)
Yes.
I am generally cautious regarding the ICOs ... so many of them. STARTA looks interesting and the team looks good, but more research required. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome. Yes it is always a risk.
Ridiculous how much funding some ICOs can get.
Let's see what this ICO has to offer.
It must be good if it is getting this much funding but that isn't the best thing to base the potential of a new ICO.
Well to be honest this one is quite low compared to some of the recent ones. They are only aiming for 5m .
I haven't got the nerve even when its a dead cert I still am very wary. Hope it works out :)
Well it is always risky!
I don't do risk, to much of a chicken
I will check it out
The parts make the whole look very weak. None of their startups look compelling imho, another silly coin ?
Where did you get enough information to determine that - if anything there isn't a huge amount of information on each startup to even say that. I don't think it is silly - the idea is good but I think it will succeed or fail based on how good those companies are.
I Follow the Cryptofiend!!! Joining Starta . . .
Happy 4th of July!
Thank to you too:)
Sounds like a pretty interesting concept! thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
yeap, threw a few on this one.
Apparently Waves is now working with Deloitte so that might bode well for both projects from the investor sentiment side of things.
woot!
Nice heads up, @thecryptofiend!
Any ICO recommended by you has got an unwritten seal of approval stamped upon it. This one sounds interesting as it's cheap and easily accessible via the main digital currencies out there. Plus there's already some big investment going on from some big market players.
Bless, my brother and thank you! :)
Thanks mate. It's actually finished now because they met their 5m maximum.
increible, me voy a poner con lo que nos has explicado, felicidades un saludo.
Thank you!
I learnt about ICOs just a week ago and I want to be part but lack of BTC/Eth stops me. The amount I could spare for investment is already invested in cryptos (all going in loss due to market situation) so I will have to wait. I wanted to be have at least $100 each invested in EOS, Civic and Polybius coins. Hoping for market to go bullish soon so that I can have some btc ready for such ICOs.
This is an interesting concept. I was a little concerned when I read the White Paper. It is clear that the author of the paper does not speak English as their first language. While that might seem trivial, it raises a red flag for me.
That's what I thought at first too. I think it is a risk - as with many things in crypto and it depends what level of risk you are willing to take.
I will definately search more. upvoted!!
Cool. It has ended now but you may be able to pick some up on an exchange.
A good post indeed. I willlook more into it.
Feel free to check out my latest post on : Why Steemit will disrup social media and gain market share
Will do!
Thanks a lot buddy, more success
I would have so invested in this had I found it in time. UGH
You can't catch them all! There will be plenty more I'm sure.
