Fuel For The BeepBeep Nation App
Executive Summary
The BeepBeep Nation mobile app for both iOS and Android provides an all-in-one solution for our users to solve their daily problems very quickly, by enabling them to help each other out when help is urgently required.
It does this by facilitating the connection between a person needing help (“requestor”) and the person providing the help (“helper”). From getting the latest, freshest information from real people in specific locations, to getting rides or places to stay in from people in specific locations who don’t mind helping out their fellow users, to getting quick help in cases of distress including people with a medical emergency or those who are missing a family member or pet at that moment and needing help to find them quickly, and more - BeepBeep Nation makes the requesting and provision of any type of help the most efficient and effective they can be.
Requestors can opt to reward helpers with a Gratitude Tip after the requested help is rendered. However the requestor is not compelled to offer any tip at all, but if one is offered, the helper is likewise not compelled to accept it.
Both requestors and helpers deal with each other independently from BeepBeep Nation, and BeepBeep Nation does not partake in any arrangement between them. Neither requestors nor helpers are employees of, or independent contractors for, BeepBeep Nation. Both requestors and helpers act for themselves and decide among themselves and for the BeepBeep Nation community in cases of dispute.
In promoting and encouraging a helping economy, BeepBeep Nation not only makes the world a better place, but also brings its users closer as they will usually need to meet up in person to render the help requested, while also resolving their disputes themselves. This is a significant step up from popular social media apps where users usually interact behind a smartphone or computer screen the vast majority of the time.
BeepBeep Nation Helpers: Motivation
Gratitude Tips aside, which is provided by the requestor (with no obligation to do so) to the helper - why would the latter help the requestor without expecting any reward in return?
Here is a non-exhaustive list:
1. He’s going to spend the time and effort doing what the requestor wants anyway
Some helpers may be going the same route as the requestor who requested for a ride. Having an additional passenger in his car isn’t going to cost him any significant extra – and he has somebody to talk to.
2. The helper benefits in some way from helping the requestor
A simple example is when the freeway requires 2 people in a car before it could go on the fast lane. If the helper helps the requestor who is going the same route, he can get onto the fast lane and reach their mutual destination much quicker, thus saving him time and gas.
3. It doesn’t take much time and effort to provide the help
Certain help takes only a few minutes to do, if at all. As an example, the helper who lives near the requestor is already shopping at an outlet that the requestor wants to buy something from. It’s a simple matter of just picking up the item for the requestor and then dropping it off at his house which is on the helper’s way back.
4. To make new business contacts
Networking with other people for a business benefit is as old as the hills. In fact, some of our best business contacts are those we meet outside of our own circles. Smart helpers know this – and helping another person who may be good for his business can be worth more than whatever the time and effort he puts in to help another.
5. To make new personal friends
Helping another without monetary compensation is an excellent way to broaden our circle of friends. We’re social creatures and social media created a world of digital social humans. BeepBeep Nation makes us physically social again – probably even more so. This enhances human interactions which is good for our overall wellbeing.
6. To do something good
There are many people in the world who would want to help another perhaps for spiritual or religious reasons, but either don’t get many help requests (because their friends don’t think they can help), or get help requests they can’t fulfil. BeepBeep Nation solves this problem for them, as they can choose which requestor near them they can offer help to.
7. Some will do it for the Gratitude Tips
There are times when someone is in between jobs, or have just been retrenched – and they don’t qualify to be drivers of ride-sharing services because they own an older car, or they don’t own homes with rooms they can let out for a fee, and so on. BeepBeep Nation app provides this group with a way to earn some tips providing help to people who need it, until they get back on their feet again.
Business Model
Location-Based Peer-to-Peer (P2P) App
BeepBeep Nation’s main business model is by the selling of credits that are required to send out requests for help.
BeepBeep Nation will charge a requestor a nominal US$0.10 – USD$0.30 for each request for help, which will be sent to a radius of 1 – 5 km from the specified location. This is a very cheap way for requestors to reach hundreds, thousands, or even millions of other users (like New York, which has a huge population) within the radius. Not only that, since requests for help are sent to the requestor’s specified locations where only users within that location will see it, it provides users with very targeted requests for help and will result in better responses from helpers while keeping their “Nearby Beeps” screen clean of requests that helpers cannot respond to due to their not being in the location specified by the requestor.
BeepBeep Potential Partnerships
BeepBeep Nation app emphasises the safety of its users as it encourages meetups among them.
There are other aspects that we can potentially add to the app in this area. BeepBeep Nation can work with companies that specialise in identity verification and location verification using blockchain technology.
Blockchain technology makes identity and location records immutable, which will give more certainty to BeepBeep Nation users during a check on a request for help (on both requestor and helper).
Token Utility
The name of our token is EMINENT (EMN). “EMINENT” is chosen because in the context of a person, it means “respected”; and as an attribute of a person, it represents a positive quality that is noticeable. EMINENT is what BeepBeep Nation users should aspire to when they use the app.
Token Ecosystem
1. Requesters can pay for Beeps and settle secure transactions in EMN tokens
2. Requesters can only purchase EMN tokens from exchanges, or earn rewards from the reward mechanics of BeepBeep
3. Helpers can receive Gratitude Tips in EMN tokens, businesses can use EMN tokens to purchase BeepBeep value-added services off the platform at a preferential rate
4. Helpers can then sell the EMN tokens on the exchanges in exchange for other cryptocurrencies or fiat.
