People had the set notion that the only way that they could make money was through hard, physical labour or jobs. The other way was just to do the wrong, anti-social things such as Robbery, Theft or Dacoity. This notion has basically remained the same till this very day, with many striving hard and working their lives off for getting a nine-to-five job and to earn a living off of it.
They are still blind to the fact that there are much more methods to earning a living than just corporate jobs or hard physical jobs. There goes a saying like this, "The Blind work for Money. The Smart make Money Work for Them."
There is no better saying that captures the basic essence of how investing works.
First came the Banks and a sound financial system, then came about a new method of allowing companies to raise money and which allowed for the public to be able to put their money to back up a company that they loved in return for a profit if it performed well. The idea is very simple and concise but took a lot of time to come into fruition. The world of changed dramatically with the introduction of the Stock Market and Investments. It allowed for a whole new method of raising and earning money indirectly and allowed for quite the endless possibilities on it.
There are Mutual Funds and SIPs that are usually categorised into the safer side of the risk factor. There are also the index funds that are also considered as such. But, there came about an entirely new method for investing and that was the Exchange Traded Funds, and they function just as their name suggests. They are funds that are traded against assets via exchanges. They are somewhat of a mix between regular stocks and Index Funds and have a lot of the positives of both sides. This combination along with a few other perks such as no taxes to be paid for investing in one, just while cashing out a profit, made it an instant success and it is here to stay.
It is already an multi-trillion dollar market with it expected to grown several fold in the coming years. While all the other methods of investing is being moved to the Blockchain and better optimised technologies, it is time for ETFs to follow suit.
Kryptoin Platform
They plan on creating a platform based on Blockchain that allows for its user to be able to trade ETFs using it. This being run on the Blockchain, means that it does not have the same limitations and disadvantages that the current methods have.
It makes the entire ETF trading system decentralised, allowing the users to have the power of say rather than few individuals or corporations. It also makes it much more secure, flexible and scalable than before. It also mainly allows for many to be able to access exotic and previously unreachable markets using their platform.
ICO & Team
They plan on powering their platform by introducing the Kryptoin (KRP) Token which is based on Ethereum's ERC-20 Token standard. They plan on holding their Pre-Sale on 1 September and it requires for you to be Registered, Whitelisted and KYC Verified in order to be able to participate in the ICO.
The Founders and rest of the team has adequate experience in Software Development, Blockchain, HR, Community Management and Design respectively. The advisory board consists of renowned and experienced Investors, Analysts, Advisors and Entrepreneurs who also bring along their expertise in fields of Business Development, Blockchain, Investments and Finance.
Conclusion
While there are not many Blockchain projects out there that have targeted ETFs, them being the first gives them the first mover advantage but, not without their shortcomings. The major one being lack of Team members and expertise in the financial and trading field that they aim to tackle.
A few additional team members and advisors would help them in the long run and would help increase the credibility and the ability of the team to be able to deliver on their promises.
Otherwise, this is a really viable projects that aims to bring the ETFs to the Blockchain and cryptocurrency environment.
