The Internet, when it was introduced to the masses, was like an eye opener for many and many were just overwhelmed with the endless possibilities that it opened up for us. For that matter, we are still scratching the surface of the limitless potential that the Internet offers.

This meant that there was also endless possibilities for it being used wrongly. We had to change the way we thought of something basic such as personal details or privacy. There was a rise in the ways we could fall victims to fraud, scam and theft on the Online World, much more frequent than what we'd experience in the physical world.

One must always keep in mind that the person on the other end may or may not be someone with the same mindset and they may have malicious intents. So one must tread the online waters with a lot of caution.

Cybersecurity has become a field of its own with thousands of specializations under it. This is because the Internet is built on ease of usability and not on security. It is only in the recent years that we've built a lot of safety frameworks, rules and software's to safeguard the users of the Internet from the malicious users.

While that is there in one corner, there is also the whole suite of viruses, Trojans, malwares and unwanted advertisements littered all over the Internet. This requires much more concern along with the current issues that have been on the rise such as the Websites that we usually used to use have now agreed on tracking and collecting user and behavior information.
